Guest Reviews
We enjoyed our stay at the Radisson in Kandy. We particularly liked the rooftop pool and bar / restaurant. The pool did get busy in the afternoon, and when busy there are not really enough sun loungers. Rooms were clean and comfortable and ours had a lake view which we weren't expecting. The breakfast was very good, and all of the staff we had contact with were excellent. It's close to the city centre with all the sights a short tuk tuk ride away. We thought it was very good value for money.
More sunbeds by the pool
My husband and I stayed at Radisson Hotel in Kandy for a few days. We had a good experience at this hotel. Staff were helpful and pleasant. The rooms were spacious and clean.

Unfortunately, a disappointing stay that fell well below the standard we'd expect from a Radisson.
The property feels tired and dated throughout. Our room had worn furniture, old bathroom fixtures with visible grout everywhere, cloudy mirrors, and ants, and we never even opened the balcony. The AC had to run at full blast to manage the humidity. Hallways were smelly with food odours drifting through, and the walls are thin enough that noise carries easily.
The dining experience was equally underwhelming. Breakfast was overcrowded with no tables available for a while, and the space was hot and humid with all the doors and windows open.
Food selection was reasonable but the flavours were noticeably lacking, especially relative to the genuinely excellent food we'd had elsewhere in Sri Lanka over the week. When we shared feedback on a poor dinner choice, the response was that it's simply due to the meats available locally, which didn't match our experience at other properties.
Staff were friendly and clearly trying their best, that came through. The location is also a positive, with good access to Kandy. But the overall standards don't reflect what the Radisson name represents globally or what other group hotels in Sri Lanka deliver.
Not a property I'd return to or recommend, as I have experienced better alternatives.
