Good, but not for me.
Pros:

The property itself is gorgeous and the rooms are great.

Cons:

Despite being beachfront you have no access to the beach due to the tides. Pongwe is very remote and there is literally nothing around for 30 minutes in any direction. The food at the resort was not very good and they charged extortionate prices for it, probably because you have no option to eat outside of the resort.

Pros:

Fantastisk nydelig sted, helt nede ved det indiske hav. Stranden er hvit og vakker med palmer og deilig vind. Stedet ligger på østkysten, og man opplever flo og fjære 4 ganger i døgnet.
Rommet ble vasket hver eneste dag, var der i fjorten dager. Alltid rent rom.
Sengene ble hver kveld tyllet inn i myggnetting, og rommet ble sprayet med myggspray.
Her kommer du i Zen, alle er så hyggelige og imøtekommende.
Frokosten har et variert utvalg. Som nordmann er jeg vant til veldig grovt brød, det har de ikke. Er jo endel av sjarmen med å reise så langt avgårde på ferie. At man spiser annerledes mat enn hjemme. Lunsj og middag kan man også skaffe seg her.
Bassenget var også rent. Og det er vakkert beplantet rundt hotellområdet. Opplevde at mange ansatte syslet med sitt gjennom hele dagen.
Det var bare trist å reise hjem igjen.

Cons:

Det er et stykke unna feks matbutikk dersom man ikke vil gjøre all handel på hotellet. Så det kan være lurt å kjøpe inn snacks og ekstra med drikke da man er ute på en ekskursjon. Jeg dro med en ungdom på 14år som savnet å ha noen butikker i nærheten, forutenom det hadde også ungdommen det fint.
Ellers syns jeg madrassen min var hard. Sa aldri noe til ansatte om det, for alt annet var så perfekt som det kan gå an å bli.

Not worth it at all
Pros:

The design was nice , the wifi was great and the beach was super dirty

Cons:

The food had worms in it , the staff were not even apologetic about it ,
The food portions provided for guests were tiny for the whole buffet, only 2 or 3 options !
The rooms were not clean ,

Fantastiske dage på Pongwe Bay Resort. Have læst anmeldelser forud for vores besøg og vi er enige i alle de gode anmeldelser.

Fra du ankommer til du rejser mødes du an smil og imødekommende personale. Vi elskede at sidde i restauranten for enden af broen, gå tur og bade langs stranden og ligge ved poolen som var meget ren og pæn. Vi havde booket 3 overnatninger før vi skulle videre, men overvejede kraftigt at blive, da vi nød hvert øjeblik.

Vi boede i et family room og der var mere end god plads til os. Rengøringen var i top.

Cons:

Det er ærgerligt at man ikke kan gå i fred på stranden uden at blive passet op af nogle som gerne vil sælge noget, men det er uden for hotellets kontrol.
