Lovely property, friendly staff, good food at restaurant. On site massages and facials were nice.

Detta boende är som en dröm! Hela området är grönt av växtligheten och färgglada blommor överallt. Guavaträdet utanför vår veranda var väldigt fint att se. Hotellet är rent och personalen väldigt vänlig. Frukosten som serverades på verandan varje dag gav en känsla av lyx och den var väldigt god! Färsk frukt, olika sorters ägg, bröd, pannkakor, kaffe och juice - ingenting saknades! Rummet städades varje dag och varje eftermiddag kom de och såg över handdukar som vi haft på stranden. Hotellet ligger enligt oss på den bästa delen på ön och vi hade inte valt ett annat hotell om vi kom tillbaka igen. Maten var väldigt god. Varje kväll åt vi till ljudet av havet precis intill. Tack vare Flame Tree blev vår vecka på Zanzibar den dröm vi hoppades på!

Sans doute une des meilleures adresses sur cette partie de la côte. Établissement pas trop grand, personnel attentionné, jardin magnifique, petit dej excellent. On peut y aller en toute confiance

Low rise buildings (mostly ‘bungalows’) set in colourful, well tended gardens within the owners grounds, with direct and wide access to a beautiful beach. The owners treat visitors almost as their personal guests (in a non invasive friendly way) The manager Margaret speaks good English and could not be more helpful or friendly. The staff team too are friendly and efficient. Flame tree cottages has a well kept swimming pool and beach bar serving a good variety of drinks and food, not as ‘exciting’ as some other local restaurants but with good portions. There are kayaks on offer and Flame tree have their own dhow boat offering reasonably priced & sometimes private excursions (guests can just say where they want to go, or ask for recommendations).
Breakfasts are plentiful & special diets are catered for, served on the terraces outside each bungalow.
Flame tree cottages is in a convenient location within easy walking distance of shops, restaurants, cafes, a turtle sanctuary, local housing etc. It’s an oasis of calm within quite a busy & interesting community with the added advantage of being directly on a beach with glorious sunsets.

Muy buena estancia en Flame Tree cottage! Estuve unos días alojada allí con una amiga. El hotel es muy bonito, con ambiente relax y familiar. Un restaurante con vistas al mar en el que a veces hay música en directo, una piscina agradable y un jardín muy cuidado. El personal es muy amable y se preocupa por tu bienestar y ayudarte. El desayuno es sencillo, pero se sirve todos los días en tu mesa de la entrada de la habitación. Dadas las mareas, justo delante del hotel a veces no hay arena de playa, pero está cerca de otras playas andando, y muchos restaurantes.

The food was not to Are likening. But there is plenty of other option's around for that.

We stayed at Flame Tree 2-6 Feb after spending a few days in Jambiani and Pingwe. We didn’t really know what to expect as we had never been to Nungwi before. But everything was perfect from the moment we arrived. The garden of Flame Tree Cottages is so beautiful with many different types of trees and leading down to their very own beach restaurant where you can enjoy dinner while looking at the sunset.
Our room was spacious, clean and had a nice balcony overlooking the sea (where we were also served breakfast each morning). We stayed in the honeymoon suite but I believe every guest is served breakfast on their own balcony/veranda which is nice.

A special thanks to the staff who took such great care of us. We really enjoyed our stayed.

Rent och snyggt, både i rummen och de allmänna utrymmena. God mat och väldigt omtänksam personal. Trevligt att få frukosten serverad på rummets egna terrass. Fantastisk strand precis vid hotellet. Gångavstånd till affärer och restauranger i Nungwi. Vi kommer gärna tillbaka hit.

Flame Tree Cottages were an amazing find! We stayed here for 3 weeks, and every day was perfect! The staff are a complete credit to the hotel. They are super helpful, always smiling and nothing is too much trouble.
The cottages are super cute, and positioned as such you don’t have neighbours, just your own beautiful gardens to look over.
The food is amazing (especially the jumbo prawns, chapatis, and coconut pumpkin curry) and the restaurant is a front row seat for the wonderful sunset. There is nothing like eating dinner with your feet in the sand! And if you forget your sandals, they are discreetly delivered to outside your door, thank you!
The swimming pool is well equipped with sun beds and umbrellas and you can while away the time with just birdsong to keep you company. Staff will bring you drinks and snacks or meals by the beach, the pool or on your private veranda.
We cannot rate Flame Tree Cottages highly enough. The staff and owners really care about their guests. Far better than an 500 room faceless hotel. Would recommend in a heartbeat.

The hotel was located in a great aria. The pool was nice and the hotel was next to the beach. The breakfast was served outside the rooms every morning and it was very close to the town with all other facilities.

Very nice place, has it all you need for relaxing stay at Nungwi, swimming-pool, sun-beds, restaurant. Helpful staff, owners live in the same place, easy access to the beach and the city.

Tellement bien que nous y sommes resté 3 jours de plus! Le cadre est juste magnifique et le personnel est parfait! Le plus, le plus belle endroit de la plage de nungwi à 5 mètres de l hôtel.

Жили в семейном бунгало. Все очень понравилось. Пляж великолепный, в тихом месте. Территория отеля замечательная , великолепный бассейн, терраса перед бунгало. Утром накрывают завтрак прямо для вас. Комната большая , кровать мягкая, большая ванная. Неплохая уборка.
У нас была своя машина , нам позволили ее припарковать на охраняемой территории.
Хозяйка англичанка, приветливая, помогает советом при надобности.
Влево от отеля много ресторанов и баров.
Дважды ужинали в ресторане при отеле, очень вкусно- советуем.Мы остались очень довольны и обязательно вернёмся. Спасибо

We stayed 5 nights. The garden was lovely, large room, comfortable bed, the bathroom unfortunately was pretty old and not really clean. Breakfast was also average, but it was nice to be served on our veranda. Staff was nice.

Et hyggelig familiedrevet hotell med fokus på at gjestene skal trives og ha det bra! Hotellet består av små ‘hus’ på et eget område, og det er stille og rolig på selve resorten. Fint og skjermet. To ganger om dagen kommer det en flink yogainstruktør til hotellet. Dette er ikke inkludert i oppholdet, men verdt å få med seg!

Veldig blide, hjelpsomme og imøtekommende ansatte! Fin beliggenhet med kort gåavstand til fine badeområdet og restauranter. Rommene var fine og rene, men på grunn av luftfuktigheten så lukter det litt mugg.

Nettes kleines Hotel mit tollem Pool und schöner Lage am Strand. Die Zimmer sind groß und total sauber, Klimaanlage ist sehr gut. Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Abwechslung beim Frühstück hat gefehlt.
Restaurant: Sehr leckere Fishcakes ;-)

Super fin bungalow, stor flot have, der er "luft" mellem bungalows, god strand, swimmingpool når havet er ude.Skøn morgenmad på terrassen.
