We stayed here with our two girls for a short trip and it’s quickly become one of their favorite hotels. We’ve stayed at Ritz, Four Seasons, Conrad, Shangri-la etc across the world and actually the MO Taiwan is our favorite. The hotel itself is new and beautiful, rooms top notch and location amazing right next to a luxury mall. The highlight for our girls was the beautiful outdoor pool and friendly lifeguard. Not to mention the restaurant is amazing and made us feel welcome even though we had young kids.
We can’t wait to visit again and actually will be visiting again this month!
As a loyal Fans of MO Silk member, I love the Mandarin Oriental brand. My stays at MO Tokyo, HK, and Shenzhen have always been absolute perfection. So, when we booked MO Taipei (under my spouse’s name this time with AMEX-FHR), I was expecting that same next-level luxury.
Sadly? The service was a total letdown....
Luggage? DIY apparently. No bell staff stepped in to help us with our heavy suitcases when we walked through the door. Not exactly the 5-star welcome we expected from a 5-star hotel.
The Check-In Chaos!! We wanted to stand in line to get our keys, but the staff insisted we sit down in the lobby instead (a fine gesture, thank you!). But because there was zero queue management, other guests just walked up, stood right at the desk, and cut the line. The staff checked the line-cutters in first while we just sat there waiting, even though we were there first. It felt incredibly disorganized and honestly, pretty dismissive.
To be fair, the hotel itself is stunning, and there were a couple of highlights.
The Pool: Genuinely gorgeous and super photogenic—definitely a vibe.
In-Room Dining: The food quality was actually excellent.
At this price point, you are paying for flawless service. Sadly, MO Taipei’s front-of-house service felt way below what you get at competitors like Grand Hyatt Taipei or W Taipei, which is where we stayed at previously and felt extremely welcomed.
While the property is pretty, the poor service experience really discourages me from staying here again next time I'm in Taipei. MO Management, if you're reading this—the arrival team definitely needs some serious training!
朝食のバリエーションが豊かで、フルーツの種類も多く大変おいしかったです。卵料理はテーブルでオーダーできたのも良かったです。スパでのエステも予約して行きましたが、素晴らしい設備とサービスでした。最終日のディナーはヤグに予め予約を取っていて行きましたが、流石ミシュランの星付きレストランで、主人と大満足のディナータイムでした。

Nothing really apart from not enough seating at the pool at busy times
This was our second stay at the MO Taipei and the team at the Oriental Lounge made our return exceptional.
We stayed four nights celebrating our 21st anniversary on June 25. We enjoyed the room, food, beverages and treats but what made this stay stand out was the team at the lounge. A big thank to Adam, Christina, Amy, Emily and Sebastian for making our stay and celebration extremely special. Adam is a star. His professional warmth and kindness made our stay truly memorable.
Thank you and we look forward to another stay. Were fans.
