My 3rd stay at this hotel over the years which ought to be a good enough review for anyone.
Slight mix up with beds...requested twins but was given doubles) but this was quickly rectified when discovered.

Wij vonden de kamers heel erg warm om te slapen
We hadden een hele ruime 3-persoonskamer op de eerste verdieping. De locatie van het hotel is perfect. Parkeren was ook makkelijk. Vriendelijk personeel. Lekker gegeten in het restaurant.
Geen airco. De kamer was veel te warm waardoor we slecht geslapen hebben. Er stond wel een ventilator maar die verplaatst alleen (de warme) lucht. Het was helaas ook een hele luidruchtige kamer maar gelukkig hadden we oordopjes mee.

Heel goed ontbijtbuffet met veel keuzemogelijkheden. Ook het diner was uitstekend, prijs/kwaliteitsverhouding was in orde. De bediening was goed, vriendelijk en efficiënt. Voldoende gratis parkeergelegenheid op ca. 150 meter van het hotel. De locatie is prima, slechts een minuut lopen naar de rivier Die Our en de daaraan parallel gelegen wandelpromenade. Vanuit het hotel is Kasteel Vianden in ca. 20 minuten te voet te bereiken. Het kasteel is uiteraard hooggelegen, dus houdt wel rekening met een vrij steile weg omhoog, maar goed te doen voor wie niet slecht ter been is en een matige conditie of beter heeft. Het kasteel is overigens ook met de auto goed bereikbaar.
Het parkeerterrein is niet eenvoudig te vinden wanneer je niet op voorhand precies weet waar het is. Het antwoord van het hotel op mijn mail waarin ik verzocht om de precieze locatie hielp helaas niet. Daarin werd vermeld dat het "direct achter het hotel" lag (dat klopt niet precies) en dat ik het eventueel na aankomst bij het hotel zou kunnen vragen, waarbij men zich kennelijk niet realiseerde dat ik daarvoor toch eerst mijn auto zou moeten parkeren... Ik weet dat veel gasten het parkeerterrein niet gemakkelijk kunnen vinden. De oplossing is zo simpel: mail gasten vooraf een detailkaartje (bijvoorbeeld een screenshot van Google Maps) met daarop zowel het hotel als het parkeerterrein gemarkeerd en de naam van de straat van het parkeerterrein aangegeven, liefst ook met een foto (eventueel van Google Streetview) van het parkeerterrein. Of maak dit kaartje beschikbaar via de bookings-site. Mijn beschrijving: Rijd naar de Rue Théodore Bassing. Je passeert dan het hotel, dat zich aan de linkerkant bevindt. Rijdt door. Ongeveer 100 meter na het hotel bevindt zich aan de linkerkant het parkeerterrein. Zie bijgevoegde foto.
Mijn verblijf in het hotel viel samen met extreem warme dagen, met temperaturen van 36 tot 39 graden. De hotelkamers beschikken niet over airconditioning. Wel was een ventilator aanwezig en uit voorzorg had ik zelf ook een kleine ventilator meegebracht, maar deze hadden bij deze extreme hitte weinig verkoelend effect. De kamer bleef dus heel warm en benauwd. In het vervolg zal ik daarom dit hotel niet meer boeken wanneer temperaturen van meer 30 graden worden verwacht.
