Great views, food and staff!
This is a very good property located next to the ocean. The room was clean and spacious. My overnight stay was very short so I was not fully able to visit all of the hotel's facilities, like the restaurant, but it was very beautiful and seemed very nice to me. The room was very clean and there were nice amenities. The bed was fine.
We loved our stay here and would love to return.
The room was comfortable and clean, the staff were friendly, the beach was spectacular and not crowded, the restaurant was great.Overall we had a great stay here and will return.
Beautiful peaceful small boutique hotel right on the beach with excellent staff and good restaurant. Would definitely stay here again
tremendous hospitality, very friendly staff, a hidden paradise, wonderful artwork everywhere on the property, my expectations was exceeded by volumes, a must visit !!!
and the food was out of this world, yum yum and yum! the only and I say only downside, if you are prone to sand fly bites, they'll get you, bring repellent ..... I will visit again absolutely !!!
Beautiful, scenic, the decor is splendid and the staff is amazing.
Rooms were nice and very clean. Resort was beatiful, grounds well maintained. Beach groomed every morning. The staff were amazing. Very accommodating. Sammie will help you find everything and John will take you there safely with a smile and a story. You can even stop for local lunch is you are feeling adventuresome. Andrea, Wendy, Ariel, Rachel, and everyone in the kitchen and bar will make your day better. Food was excellent FRESH FISH EVERY DAY. Being from the Midwest this is a ++. Shout out to Tyrone and Eldridge for helping fix a dead shoe. You are all the best. M & M
First of all, let's get something out there: please do not go to La Sagesse expecting it to be some sterile Hilton or La Quinta plopped on a beach. It also is not a Starbucks or McDonalds. This place, perhaps uniquely, is a stalwart of what the REAL Caribbean beachfront hotels were...and still should be..but mostly are not. It is a diamond among rhinestones. We stayed in Ted's Room. The a/c was so efficient we had to turn it down. It was superb. The bed was 100%. The shower worked fine after we figured out to turn the hot water up all the way FIRST then add cold water. The staff are the best I have encountered in all my years of international travel, and I treat them as fellow travelers, not servants. The beach never had more than a dozen people on it in a week of good weather. Mike has something really special here, and we will be coming back as long as we can. As for the restaurant, Mike invited us to see the fish just brought from the market which I later that day had as a meal. Marlin is tasty! Go here and find the true definition of "laid back" without slackness.
A gem of a place! I can't say enough great things about La Sagesse. If you are looking for a relaxed, laid back retreat on a beautiful beach, with great swimming, great food and wonderful people, and a place to unplug and relax, this is the place you want to be. While the other side of the island is fairly busy and touristy, La Sagesse is a place apart and a rare find. The owners Mike and Lynn, and Sammy and Caroline were incredibly warm and welcoming as were the entire staff. The dining room and rooms are all right on the beach and lovely and food is great. There are options for different walks, as well as great swimming. We look forward to returning, joining many regulars who have been devoted guests for decades.
We were staying at an Airbnb 5 minutes from here so thought we’d try it for an evening meal. So glad we did. What amazingly tasty food and the welcome was so warm. The shrimp and goat curry were first class and desserts were absolutely delicious. Would highly recommend anyone to come and try this place out. We will definitely be back on our next trip to the island
Visited La Sagesse last week on the strength of a couple of newspaper and magazine articles reinforced by reviews such as these here. Happy to endorse comments made by others regarding the warmth of the reception given to guests by the owners and staff. The beach is beautiful - everything you might imagine (although the backdrop now being rather spoilt a bit by new development). Swimming great but a bit of caution advised as the breakers are huge and powerful. Cooking pretty good but restricted and unchanging menu - a real shame.
Beautifully situated hotel
Staff were exceptionally friendly , helpful and welcoming
They were able to handle my last minute request for accommodation change without fuss.
Room was serviced nicely each day
We tried to organise a small fishing expedition but although they put a lot of time and trouble were unsuccessful at finding a local.
Not a surprise really, but they did try very hard
If fishing is important then make your own arrangements in advance
This is a quiet hotel on a quiet safe beach
Very sheltered.
Very chilled.
Down a long lane and about 40 minutes drive from St George’s, best visited if you have a car
Restaurant food was better than many, always good fresh local fish and specials on offer
Not gourmet standard but competently cooked and reasonable prices
Especially enjoyed the banana flambé for desert
A wonderful "get away" location. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The restaurant has a great view and fresh delicious food. The staff are engaging, kind and provide great service. The beach front location is wonderful.
It's the 3rd time we come to this little corner of paradise and we will be back! We love that it's right on the beach, with stunning views from everywhere in the property. The restaurant is very good and the staff is wonderful!
It's quite secluded and we appreciated the calm and serenity of the place.
We have stayed in La Sagesse for over a week. We can say this has been the most welcoming hotel we ever stayed in. The owners, the staff , Sammie all have been so nice and the hotel felt like coming home. They are trying to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Nothing is too much. We stayed in the cottages with a terras and a fantastic view to the beach. The sound of the tree frogs and the waves will send you to sleep in the evening.
The restaurant is very good, lots of different things to eat. Almost every day there are specials, which keep changing and last but not least. Very affordable !!!
Words cannot express how much we loved this wonderful little hotel. It is a fabulous little gem and well deserving of all it's awards. Thank you to Sammy and her team, all of whom made our stay truly special, relaxed and happy. They really couldn't do enough to make our stay exceptional. Fabulous food with fresh fish and specials every day, the best cocktails we've ever tasted and all in a paradise-setting.
Very relaxing, quiet hotel with lovely beach
La Sagesse is a lovely spot on the earth. The surroundings are so beautiful. The rooms are quite basic, but are roomy. What makes this hotel stand out is the staff, owners, and restaurant. We enjoyed getting to know some of the staff, particularly Caroline and Samantha, and we were there when the owners had come for the season. They are lovely people and we enjoyed a walk with them one morning. They shared info on the area, the farming, and general info. about Grenada.
The restaurant is to die for. The food was outstanding. We were only staying two nights and ate our breakfasts and dinners there. The fish of the day was barracuda when we were there and it was so delicious. The view from the restaurant is gorgeous. You are just feet from the water and it just added to the wonderful dining experience.
Wow! This is the perfect destination for relaxing, enjoying the wonderful atmosphere and stunning views. The food is tasty and varied. The staff are very friendly, helpful with great knowledge and recommendations of places to visit.
The comfortable rooms come with the added bonus of NO televisions to distract you from the beautiful island.
I would definitely recommend this small and personal hotel for anyone wanting to recharge and escape from the bustle of a busy lifestyle.
Being in a remote area, a car hire is also recommended
Need Ac was looking forward to that ( ocean 1)but it nice friendly clean, and one thing need to improvise in the room in a way to call for room service it is listed but just does see how to reach out …I can hardly recommend the hotel for couples to relax and be away from everything and just have them selves.
