The staff were wonderful, as always!

My room!
Horrible!
The wood panels, the old furniture, stiff sheets, and cobwebs!
Please never give me this room again!
And walking up 3 flights to this room!
Not to mention, dangerous!
Make sure no small children stay in this room!
The staff, though! 😊

Restful stop for a night
Pros:

Location was convenient.

Cons:

There's no wi-fi in room and no a/c. However, with fans it was comfortable and there's wi-fi in the lobby.

Mahalo!
Pros:

We like the location of the hotel with our room overlooking the Reeds Bay. It had a nice balcony. The room was clean and comfortable with a kitchenette that was a nice additional feature. Thank you we'll be back next year.

Cons:

Well, the hotel overall is a bit worn and could use a bit of a face lift but then the rates would surely increase.

Older property on Hilo waterfront is a great place to stay if you don't need the bells & whistles
Pros:

Great location on waterfront, open airy areas, balcony with table and chairs, kitchenette in room, ceiling fan and oscillating fan, comfortable bed, fresh sheets every day, beautiful waterfront park right next door. Better value than other local options.

Cons:

No AC (although I didn't really need it in February), parking lot was small & always nearly full, park across the street seemed to have homeless camping in it. Property looked a little rough around the edges.
