Pros:

If you're looking for a hotel in Taipei that feels a little more thoughtful than the average business stay, I really enjoyed Amba Hotel Zhongshan.

The design is modern without feeling cold, and one of my favourite touches was that every floor has its own lounge space, each curated with a different look. It made the hotel feel like there was something new to discover beyond just the room.

They also have a complimentary self-service laundry room for guests, which is one of those little conveniences you don't appreciate until you're travelling for several days.

It's the kind of hotel that gets the details right, stylish, practical, and comfortable. I'd happily stay here again.

Central location stay in a quirky, modern hotel in Taipei!
Pros:

We loved how central the location is and the laundry facilities and the decor and layout of the room.

Cons:

Although the staff is friendly and rooms are clean but I lost a pair of my favorite walking shoes in the room. The front desk checked with housekeeping and they insisted I packed it in but I traveled home and have still yet to find my favorite shoes.
The breakfast staff is friendly but the breakfast is average with no variety after eating the same breakfast for 3 days.
The overall decor of Amba is modern but the furniture on each floor does not match, it’s like a bunch of old garden furniture thrown together in the center of the hall way. Instead of some nice inviting sofas, it’s cold, ugly and mismatched garden furniture randomly placed in the hallway.

Pros:

Great location, calm and open. Staff are very friendly. Rooms are super clean and neat. Room service is exceptional. They even organized our belongings. Will surely use them again!
