Infelizmente o café da manhã era muito básico. A pesar de ser a cidade com um pão maravilhoso a opção disponibilizada no café da manhã não era adequada.

Pros:

Wat een fijne ervaring! Het personeel is ontzettend vriendelijk (met name Sara), behulpzaam en geeft goede tips om de omgeving te ontdekken. De kamers zijn zeer mooi en stijlvol ingericht, met veel oog voor detail. Het ontbijt was heerlijk en vers. De ligging van het hotel is echt top: midden in de Sassi, waardoor je direct in de unieke sfeer zit. Zeker een aanrader!

Charming small hotel with spacious cave room in a good location. Close to restaurants. The staff were delightful and helpful, arranging pick up from car park outside the walls. Staff are delightful and very helpful.

An authentic Matera experience with warm hospitality

A truly special stay at Le Malve Cave Retreat. What stood out the most was the kindness of the staff, always attentive and willing to help, which made a real difference throughout our visit.

Staying in a place with the typical cave features was a unique experience that immediately connects you to the essence of Matera. The room design is beautifully done: it respects the original stone architecture while offering all the modern comforts you would expect.

Highly recommended for anyone looking to experience Matera in an authentic way.

Cons:

On a personal note, the only thing I didn’t love was the glass partition between the bathroom and the bedroom, which takes away a bit of privacy. It’s a stylistic choice that suits the design, but something to keep in mind depending on who you are traveling with.
