- they charge random prices for the drinks and the price is always different than the menu
- the menu as a whole is highly overpriced
- our check-in was delayed by over an hour because of reasons we don't know. The only thing we got for it was "sorry guys"
- there are micropayments all over the place. They try to rip you off on everything they can(some shady necessary insurance). You would not expect that in a "premium" hotel
- there are some organized closed events quite often. Because of that they focus on those and treat regular guests like third class customers
- the breakfast is between 8 and 10. Even if you come before 8 and order first, you will still wait for the food until 9
- to get there you need a boat. Don't worry - the hotel will provide you with a small, expensive boat for a 10 minute trip.
- we were promised that while we are in the hotel we can take the same boat to Cartagena for free. Then they charged us for the trip. Funny enough it was a different price than the one where we came to hotel
- we asked them to organize us a transport from the island to Baru(our next destinantion). We had to remind them multiple times and at the end they told us "we can't do that". Bear with me - They couldn't call someone in the docks to pick us up. It took me 3 minutes in the docks without knowing anyone, the place or the god damn language to do that. Laziness at the next level.
- it's a ghost town after dusk. They care only about the events for companies/other people.
Personeel heel behulpzaam. Strand is heerlijk en wordt goed schoongehouden zoals het hele complex. Het eten is redelijk tot goed.
Drink water voorziening is veelste duur. 4€ voor een flesje water wat een standaard levensbehoefte is, is niet ok. Op het strand ok, maar niet in de slaapkamer.
Douche is matig met alleen koud water.
Staff are amazing, pay attention to every detail during your stay. This place was beautiful, unexpected last minute stay- which we stayed longer. We’ll be back for sure!

La comida muy rica y variada. El lugar precioso, muy relajante. El personal excelente, muy amable y siempre dispuesto. El bar y restaurant sobre la playa perfectos!

If you are staying overnight food and drink will double the cost of your stay. The facilities also require some maintenance.

Tout le reste : hygiène catastrophique, pratiques malhonnêtes, pas d’eau chaude, pas de communication… un cauchemar.
The staff was really kind and helpful. Getting there was pretty simple. The room was nice, the bed was pretty comfortable. The A/C worked pretty well. The food was good.
There was no hot water in the shower - I asked about it, expecting them to fix it, but was told hot water didn’t come with our room (this was not mentioned in the booking). You have to pay for water and each bottle is like $3. The rest of the island is pretty bleak. It’s run down and has litter everywhere. There are a couple little bodegas where you can buy drinks or snacks for decent prices. I thought there would be things to do on the island, but there really isn’t anything to do besides sun bathe at the hotel. If this is your goal, it’s great. We were bored and even though the boat ride is only 10 minutes back to Cartagena, it’s kind of pricey and not convenient to go back and forth. Oh, also, there are TONS of stray dogs and cats all over the resort and the island. I don’t think we’d stay again.

O hotel não informa no descritivo dos quartos (no site do Booking) que alguns deles não há água aquecida no chuveiro. Conseguimos mudar de quarto depois de 3 noites. A equipe do hotel é muito desorganizada, pois cada um fornece uma informação que não é confirmada posteriormente por outros. O cadápio é limitado para estadias acima de 3 dias. O atendimento não segue um padrão de qualidade, tendo funcionários muito prestativos e cordiais (como a Lira) e outros que não se preocupam em nada com a empatia. O hotel tem som com DJ o dia todo (até a noite), então não é um lugar quieto, mas sim bem agitado, especialmente porque se permite "day pass" e assim a área de praia fica cheia de pessoas que vêm passar o dia. Por fim, a internet é péssima (se precisar dela, esqueça!) e no primeiro quarto que ficamos a televisão não tinha antena e nem se conectava à internet.

The sea at Fenix beach was great, and the restaurant was excellent as always. The location and beach setting remain beautiful. I've stayed at this hotel a couple of times before and have always enjoyed the experience.
Unfortunately, this stay didn't match my previous experiences. I always rent one of the main cabins with a mayordomo, but this time the service from him and the team was not as good as before. Restaurant availability was also disappointing - not sure if this was because my stay was close to the holidays. Additionally, communication via WhatsApp for pickup arrangements was quite slow.
Wat een geweldige plek. Het is maar vijftien minuten met de boot. Als je even weg wilt uit de warme stad is deze plek heerlijk. Prachtig strand. Heerlijk zwembad en aardig personeel.
Onze deluxe bungalow was echt prachtig! Wat een geweldige plek is Fenix Beach!
