Skuggi Hotel by Keahotels

Great location, lovely room and very clean. Breakfast was filling with lots of options. The staff here are just fantastic, so helpful, friendly, polite and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend this hotel and if I ever come back to Iceland I would be more than happy to stay here again.

A wonderful small hotel of very basic character, and a very helpful staff.

My single room was perhaps 3 x 4 m, and truly plain, having what is needed and nothing more. The bathroom is about 1/3 that, but perfectly functional and usable. That being said, the single bed was comfortable and the room was quiet.

The complementary continental breakfast was certainly on the more generous end of this style, and a very welcome inclusion in a city known for its eye-watering prices.

A garage under the hotel is available for guests, as are 5 spots on the ramp on the Snorrabraut end of the hotel. Simply turn onto Hvertfisgata from Snorrabraut and look for the ramp down to the right, under the large Skuggi sign. The remainder of the parking area down the ramp is not for hotel patrons, garage access is via a room card.

The staff is friendly, guest oriented, and a credit to the hotel.

This was a super convenient hotel to stay at in the city. Everything was within walking distance and there was no need to rent a car if you wanted to stay in the city or take a tour and have the tour bus pick you up. We rented a car and enjoyed doing our own thing, so the free parking came in handy. Breakfast was included, which was nice. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was amazing. We will definitely stay here again because it was just so conveniently located to everything.

This is a good hotel located within easy walking distance of the centre of Reykjavik with shops, bars and resturants less than a block away. It has parking on site and the buffet style breakfast was very good, plenty of fresh produce and lot's of choice. We didn't use the bar area or lounges except for breakfast, but they seemed nice. The room was well equipped and comfortable, though decor was a little tired in a few places and our room did smell a little of stale smoke, considering it was a non-smoking room. Overall we would recommend it and use it again.

Skuggi Hotel is ideally situated for many of the attractions and pick up bus stops.
The hotel staff are warm, welcoming and very friendly.
The rooms are comfortable and have tea and coffee making facilities

Location was excellent - less than 10min walk to bus stop 12 where a lot of guided tours start. It's about 5mins walk down to the Foodhall, and 20m walk to the BSI bus terminal.
Breakfast was good - no hot food selection but they made up for it with plenty of breads, salads, cereal to choose from.
Staff were super friendly.

Hotel perfect in comfort, breakfast & location. Only thing that could be improved are the female receptionists! Very solemn, not a lot of interaction on arrival, no advice/information given for best trips etc, not a very warm welcome.

Friendly, professional staff. Quiet rooms with a WiFi that works well. One block over from the main shopping street in Reykjavik. The hotel has a free breakfast buffet, and is within walking distance to many restaurants. Definitely would stay here again.

We really liked our hotel and would definitely consider staying there again. The location was great - close to the main street (a few minutes walk) but very quiet. Bathroom was very stylish and you actually have a proper shower tray to put shampoo, etc. And also the unit under the sink is very useful for storing washbags. Great breakfast included. No hot option but plenty of lovely fruit, cereal, croissants. All you can eat and plenty of choice. The bed was very, very comfortable. There are optional black out blinds, which we used. Slept great because the room was so quiet and dark. My only small complaint is that there is no make up mirror at the desk - no mirror at all. You can opt in or out for room cleaning but I think there should be an option that you can tick that is just for clean cups, new teabags, etc...

No special amenities but close to downtown. You can easily walk to the church and to the concert building. Breakfast was excellent. Shower was nice and hot.

Staff was very kind and helpful, rooms were clean, parking was so helpful to have and the location was really easy to get to key spots around Reykjavik. We really enjoyed our stay and would go back should we be in Iceland again.

The hotel was very basic, no toiletries and a very basic room. Everything was in black and not a lot of hanging space. Breakfast was a continental style but all you could eat and drink

Clean and well cared for

We stayed here for a short family trip to Iceland. Lovely, spacious room, comfy bed, welcoming staff, good breakfast and relaxing bar area. What more do you want!
