Good location main reason for booking.
It has charm and character.
Some areas needed some general maintenance
ie decoration and carpets, apart from that our stay
was fine.
We stayed with our 2 children and loved the overall experience. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and our rooms were fantastic, very clean and comfortable. The location is ideal for exploring the town.
Room was excellent with a fab view. Staff were really lovely and very helpful. Big thanks to the management team too !
A few parts of the hotel were a bit tatty - but a major refurb is happening soon.
The breakfast was lovely and staff very efficient
Radiator in bathroom wasn’t working, room was quite small
Location and view from room
Carpet and old corridors - pillows were poor quality and no extra blanket with thin duvet. Staff in hotel very welcoming, breakfast staff miserable. Nice breakfast once it arrived.
Very spacious, well equipped kitchen, comfortable and sofas and very nice bathrooms with walk in showers.
When we arrived we were told that access to the barn was up a spiral staircase. As ladies of a certain age with two suitcases, this would have been impossible to negotiate. The barn was also situated up a fairly steep hill. The lady on reception was very quick to offer help but thankfully a male member of staff volunteered to help us 😅
We loved the historic significance and atmosphere of the property. The staff we very helpful (with cases and stairs) and friendly. It was very close to everything we needed. Some people have been worried about no onsite parking in reviews we read. The paid carpark was just across the narrow road and the man that worked there was very friendly and reassured us that it was very safe (we could see our car from the foyer, and it was reasonably priced). Breakfast was included in the price and was substantial and cooked to order - well presented. The view from our cosy table nook was out to the enclosed harbour and historic buildings. The location was sensational for walking. So close to the shops and restaurants - just a few doors up from Rick Stein's flagship restaurant. Our room was lovely, plenty of space, with a big bathroom and all the amenities we needed (twin). They also have an onsite restaurant and bar, which seemed very popular. Padstow is only a 30 minute drive from The Eden Project - well worth a visit. We loved the hotel, location and town so much we stayed an extra night.
The stairs could be a challenge for some people, but they are to be expected in historic buildings. One of the staff helped us with our suitcases.
Die Lage war super und auch das Frühstück
Kleine Zimmer 2. Stock ohne Lift dafür gute Aussicht - viel zu teuer
We had a room overlooking the harbour which was lovely. The staff were excellent and very friendly.
The place is simple but cosy and everything what you need is there. Nice Breakfast
Amazing view
Very nice location
Central location and could book just one night plus POTL was a fantastic spot for lunch if you book ahead.
My fault for booking a pub on a Saturday right above the entertainment and lively guests with only creaky boards and a bit of carpet between us until 11pm, but other rooms or the floor above may have faired better.
Localization
Great location
Characterful building
Noisy rooms (above a busy pub - so expected!)
The Staff were friendly & the location was excellent.
This Hotel is generally 'run down' and 'tired looking' - The bedrooms are small and do not resemble the photos on the Hotels Website - would not choose to stay there again.
Everything was excellent although the building is a bit tired but we were told that it’s to receive a complete refurbishment this autumn so will be stunning
No parking
Amazing location in the harbour. Wonderful staff & food.
No air conditioning/fans in the room
