The Old Custom House is about as central to Padstow as central is , we had a great room overlooking the harbour , breakfast was excellent and it was exactly what i was looking for. The staff were all lovely - as were most of the people in Padstow . All of the best restaurants were a short walk ( minutes ) away , as is the ferry over to rock .
We hired cycles and did the full camel trail which was a great day out and recommended if you like cycling ( all flat ! ) 😊 we would 100% stay again
Our room was lovely , but ready for the modernisation due to start in the new year, im not complaining though as it did not affect our stay whatsoever
Location was great, and meals were good when it arrived.
Staff never write your order down for evening meal and breakfast. Hence, things were wrong.
It took 1hr 30 mins for our evening meal as well as 2 other tables, one being 2 hours late, both were given discounts but not us ?. Room on arrival late great till you settled in and noticed issues, stain on ceiling issues with texture on ceiling, oaint chips, furniture needs attention, owner said she didn't know of any issues reported from night before, and would look into it, but having read other reviews fell on deaf ears.
We felt it overpriced, as we had stayed in better for less.

The room was beautiful and had a wonderful view of Padstow Harbour
It woudl have been good to have a safe, we had no reason to doubt security but just for peace of mind.
Perfect location, room was nice with a view to the harbour.
Bed was comfy and breakfast was really nice.
The reception,bar staff and breakfast ladies were all very welcoming and polite and made you feel comfortable.
Room 22 , several stairs to climb and right next to a pub.
The pub played music up to and past midnight.
The receptionist apologised on their behalf and said they should finish at 11

Sehr schönes Zimmer mit Blick auf den Hafen. Man sollte den Trubel und das Möwengeschrei lieben. Sehr zentral gelegen, mit einem leckeren Pub. Das Frühstücksangebot ist umwerfend gut,tolle Auswahl und Buffet. Sehr Gerne wieder..
What a view! Lovely room and a perfect location.

We arrived at the hotel mid morning, and was warmly greeted by Amy, at the reception. She apologised that the room wasn’t yet ready, which was totally acceptable as check-in wasn’t until 3pm. I happened to mention that it was my husband’s 70th birthday, and when we arrived back to our room at 2pm (which she kindly texted us to tell us it was ready) there was a bottle of prosecco and a birthday card from hotel team. We were so touched by the kind gesture.
The room was lovely and comfortable, with plenty of tea bags, and milk etc, plus biscuits.
We had a gorgeous view of the harbour too.
We ate in the restaurant that evening, the meal was very good, and the staff were all so in friendly and made sure we had all we needed, and were happy with everything.
We had breakfast the next morning, again was very good, as were all the staff too.
When we arrived home I realised we had left all my husband’s birthday cards behind. Luckily the staff had found them, and Amy said she would post them to us, free of charge. Again, we were touched by her kindness, and so grateful to her for being so helpful and understanding. She really did go above and beyond her duties. Thank you so very much.
