Pros:

Hotel Avra is a no-frills, great-value hotel with a very acceptable restaurant right on the shore. It is 50m from a beach, 100m from the ferry dock and 150m from the most interesting part of Aegina town. And yet it is quiet with good insulation and a/c. The view from the balconies is as good as it gets and the location is superb. Elefteria is a friendly and helpful hostess and her staff are quietly efficient. There might be better Rooms on the island - but not for these prices.

Pros:

It was great, Avra a lovely family business, loved it, terrific position close to docks, the ruins of ancient town the old harbour now a great beach and swimming pool, watch the sun set from the balcony, Trips to Poros, Hydra, The beautiful temple, bus ride away 2 euros. downside; The beach side restaurant needs a bit of work, I know they can do it. Athens 45minutes away by hydrofoil.

Pros:

Hotel Avra is a lovely hotel with a great location in Aegina Town. It's a short walk from all the restaurants but also in a quiet part of town. Even though my room was on the backside of the hotel, it still had a lovely view of the port. The room was basic, perfect for anyone traveling who wants a clean and comfortable place to sleep while they adventure during the day.
