Amazing hotel and service
We had a wonderful stay at Royal Marmin Bay and highly recommend it.
The atmosphere throughout the hotel is incredibly relaxing. The private beach is beautiful and well-maintained, the views are absolutely stunning. The spa was a real treat that added to the feeling of indulgence and calm.
Breakfast was excellent, with a great variety of fresh and delicious options. The staff were consistently friendly, helpful, and professional, contributing to the overall welcoming and pleasant experience.
That said, there are a few areas where the hotel could improve. The welcome drink offered was simply water, which felt underwhelming given the standard of the hotel — a small gesture that could have made a stronger first impression. The internal shuttle service around the property was slow and often unreliable, which was inconvenient given the steep terrain. Also, charging for coffee capsules in the room seems unnecessary for a hotel of this level — it's a small cost that would go a long way in elevating the guest experience.
Despite these minor points, our overall impression of Royal Marmin Bay remains very positive. It’s a stunning, peaceful destination that delivers on beauty, comfort, and relaxation. We would happily return and highly recommend it to others.
Pool was closed at 6h pm in very high heat
My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend for my birthday in June. We had an incredible time the hotel was spotless, the food great and the views are breathtaking. We can’t wait to go back again!
A boutique style hotel with an easy, modern and a chilled vibe. Spent two weeks here B & B. Got a taxi ride into Elounda or Plaka every evening for dinner. Just a lovely, quiet part of Crete that we love.
Always wonderful
We had a fantastic stay at Royal Marmin although got off to a rocky start as we were shown to an unmade room and then substituted to a 'holding room' until they could allocate a sea view room the next day. Given it was our honeymoon, which we'd notified of beforehand, this was disappointing.
The rest of the stay was great though. Lovely hotel in a great spot.

I liked the location.
It was close to both Plaka and to Elounda the town.
What I didn't like was the hotels beach front and the showers in the rooms.

This was a great hotel with a Fantastic breakfast! The staff are very kind and helpful! There are 2 main reasons we rated this stay a 4 out of 5. 1). The floor tiles are Extremely slippery when wet. Be very careful getting out of the shower!! 2) The food and drinks around the pool and beach are way way overpriced! We observed most people just ordering water….the hotel really should consider lowering their prices.

It is the gem of Crete and the best spot in Elounta. Loved every second of it! Food was off the dial and top notch and the only hotel with the best private beach! Special shout out to Gregor and Chris, and all the other friends we made! Best of the best! A true five star! Can’t wait to go back and nice and early in 2024! Must try Samurai Sushi as it is the best sushi and sashimi I ever tried and I am from Vancouver Canada which is known for top notch Japanese. Poseidon is a must as well and special thanks to Marianna and her team!
Loved the ambiance. The staff are kind, attentive. When we needed the services of a doctor they were helpful and arranged everything we needed. Very hilly, but they are quick to offer services of a golf cart/club cart. Rooms beautiful, elegant, full of opulence. Breakfast buffet well stocked and great options.

Our stay was absolutely delightful. The views from every angle were truly awe-inspiring. The amenities were excellent and the service provided was nothing short of exceptional. Our stay provided us with the perfect opportunity to unwind and relax. We would definitely come back!
Exclusivity of the beach
Beautiful hotel with great private beach. Location is rather isolated but they do their best to provide anything you need. Food and beverages are rather expensive but expected.
