Everything was broken, from toilet to faucet. Sheets were dirty. Laundry service was expensive and there were damange to our clothing. Breakfast was horrible. I wouldnt recommend it here
My connection was Paske. You had to go thru customs, immigration and TSA there and not at the final destination. Different. Room was clean. All it had in it was a fridge and TV(that did not work). I was told a storm went thru the country that provides the service and wiped it out. Bed was hard but OK. The shower is VERY different and took a bit to figure it out. They are remodeling the place and start at 7am. They do not change currency. Make sure you know the exchange rate. The hotel is down what I call a alley. At the main road lots of stores. Break buffet had Bev, bread, eggs, about 8 dishes of local, rice, fruit, salad.
I had a shuttle service arranged to pick me up at the airport. They did NOT do it. They claim that Booking.com never confirmed for them to make the arrangement. I showed them Their response to Booking.com that said "They will arrange it and there will be no cost" I was not pleased. I had to pay the cost for the taxi. Most places from there do not take credit cards. But they like USD.
I like the cleanliness and the breakfast food.
2 Pools advertised both too dirty to swim in 1 was full of rubbish.
A large hotel with ornate interior and large comfortable rooms. The location is good - within walking distance of both the Mekong downtown area and the Morning Market (Talat Sao) The swimming pool is dirty and looks like it has not been used for months. Staff - some helpful and others more interested in playing on their phones. A huge dining room which was empty on both mornings with a disappointing buffet breakfast and staff who reallycould not care less.
The property has an elegant interior design in the common areas, and the staff (Mouk, Sisavath, and Khao) were helpful. The hotel is located within walking distance to the Giraffe supermarket, the central bus station, Talat Sao mall, the Pizza Company, Texas Chicken, and Swenson's fast food. The Wifi and amenities work well. For those travelers renewing their visas at immigration, keep in mind that the office has moved far from its previous location across from Talat Sao, so hotels in this area are no longer within walking distance to immigration. Overall the hotel is a good value for the money.
I stayed for one week in March 2020 and really enjoyed the lovely views of this relaxing city. I enjoyed a birds eye view of a local Laos wedding over two days. The breakfast has good variety, the rooms are smart with good satellite television, and you can order from food panda to eat in the dining room.I liked this part of the city and recommend Go Dunk for live weekend music, 5 minutes walk from the hotel, and the Country Road bar for good atmosphere, pool tables and in interesting DJ. Also, if you like a full length outdoors swimming pool and fitness suite there is the Vientiane fitness centre a 5 minute walk from the hotel.
Friendly staff . Very good service. The staff were very approachable and helpful. Clean, neat and tidy rooms . Comfortable bed . Close to good restaurants , spas and other amenities . Good location . The breakfast was good. Value for money. Had a brilliant stay . Would definitely come back .
Look at $70 for 2 nights with swimming pool and a good breakfast it's not out of the way if that's your price range . But... here's a few issues look up from pool looks like building is in bad way and bits about to fall on you. Balcony railling knee high and loose, room door big gap so had to cover with towel, toilet seat broken bathroom just dangerous dodgy hair dryer with socket lapping around water area.
Breakfast very good staff all friendly but can't recommend. I did politely point these out to reception who seemed to accepted our superior twin was not good.
We stayed here to relax for a few days whilst backpacking our way around SE Asia. The bed was super comfy and huge! The room was clean and made up everyday with fresh towels. There are 2 swimming pools, although there were people working next to the one on the ground floor which meant we didn’t use it. But the the one on the 3rd floor gets the sun till around 1pm which was good. There was only 3 sun loungers which makes it quite quiet. The staff were welcoming and helpful, they let us print out visas off for Vietnam for free which was nice. They also organised a taxi to the airport for us. Would stay here again.
To start with I’ve been here before, 3 years ago. So is there any difference.
Yes!!
They have removed the old carpet from the landings.
They closed the Bar they had & the restaurant is not open in the evenings.
I can understand why they closed them as everyone goes out in the evenings around town. No need for them when you don’t have any customers.
The Hotel has two swimming pools. This was fun for the kids.
The rooms are large, clean & comfortable. There is tea making items plus a 32” LCD TV . There is also a mini Bar + free WiFi.
The only downside is that there is no Hot Water to the sink in the bathroom. Shower yes!
(A strange way to have things.) When I went to tell them about it they said that’s the way it is. It makes shaving a little problem.
Staff where very good & helpful. So would I come back again? Maybe is the answer.
I like the place but it’s a good walk into town. And I found a couple of very good Bars. So a hotel a little nearer sounds good to me.
But you never know I may be back next year.
Don’t let me put you off trying the place as it is very good. Make your own mind up.
We had 3days at Vientiane Golden sun hotel which was really comfortable and feel right at home. The rooms is clear_ fully furnished has two swimming pools and very good breakfast great coffee. We would highly recommended

Have good swimming pool
It was so good i extent
A must book here
All I can say is , an amazing stay , the staff were so helpful , the breakfast was varied and delightful, the rooms were spotlessly clean and comfortable the facilities were great , overall 10 /10 well done to all the staff for making my stay so enjoyable ,
Great hotel and lovely peoples
Nice and delicious breakfast, many variety
Good location in the city
Good location to sleep during night
VIP room spacious and airy
Beautiful garden and swimming pool
Full English, Thai, Laos and Vietnamese speaking staffs
Partially Renovated Hotel, we got upgraded to the VIP room on the 7th floor with large balcony. The rooms are the ensuite were huge and nicely decorated. The rooms seemed a little unfinished-they do have a timber platform around the bed and with no bedside lamps it makes getting in and out of bed a little dangerous. Hotel has 2 pools and the one on the 3rd floor is in the shade in the afternoon so the water can be a bit cold...but refreshing. Breakfast was adequate but had only Coffee no Tea ?
Not on the main drag but only 20 minutes walk to the night market
Staff were pleasant and would recommend
The staff was very friendly and helped me out with all of my needs. the water pressure was good and the water was nice and hot. The hotel is very classy which I like it makes me feel good to stay in the nice place. The price for this hotel is very very good. I felt like I was getting a good deal staying at this hotel.
We really enjoyed our stay. The Hotel itself is really smart, sophisticated and clean. The staff are really attentive and helpful, especially considering the size of the hotel. Having a couple of swimming pools was a great extra perk, perfect for relaxing on a hot day after sight seeing. The room was quite stylish too, with fantastic views over Vientiane. Recommended!
Nice location which is really quiet. Nice and clean room. Good service from staffs, good breakfast and very good coffee. You can walk from the Hotel to Si Saket Temple and Ho Prakeo Temple around 5 minutes but 15 minutes to Patuxay, 20 minutes to Thatluong Temple. There are a lot of tuk tuk in the area or you can also ask the hotel's staff help to order a taxi for you
This place is not ready for service. it is still under construction. Scaffolds are all outside the building. inside the building looks is haunted house. no to low lighting, no AC, no working television, no spa as advertised and restaurant that looks like it never had any customers inside. Pictures on Expedia does not reflects how the actual place looks like. Not worth the money.
