I would recommend this hotel.
Pros:

The room was large and we liked the sink being separate from the rest of the bathroom. We liked the balcony and were happy with our view. Some people had to face the parking lot butt we were in the back with trees. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was very clean when we arrived. The pool was very nice.

Cons:

We stayed for 4 nights without housekeeping. When I go on vacation I appreciate coming back each night to a clean bathroom and a made bed. We had to keep an eye on the toilet paper and go to the front desk for supplies and fresh towels. By the time we left the trash cans were full and the room felt dirty. The breakfast voucher was skimpy and we had to request a new voucher for each day. I don't think it is appropriate to have a tip jar at the front desk.

Overall was a good stay
Pros:

Large room, good breakfast, location very near activity center.

Cons:

Bugs (a lot) entering window and on window sill at AC location. Parts of building were locked down in the evening causing us to have to walk around the property at night/in the dark to find a separate entrance.

Way too expensive to be nickling and diming. Come on Gonzo, our family has been staying with you over 20 years. I know y
Pros:

Location and clean

Cons:

Cheap breakfast, requested early breakfast, was boxed fruit punch and chocolate granola bar and muffin. Gross cheap and sugary.

Cheap small bottled water in room cost $3 each in fine print). Come on, it's June at a desert hotel, and we all know these cost 35 cents at the most. Would be a nice gesture to welcome a guest with water.

If need/forgot basic toiletry, sooo expensive. Better to not offer a tampon at all than off them by the sink and in fine print let us know that using ONE is$5. Again, we all know these cost 35 cents.

I'm at the best western in Farmington New Mexico tonight. Same price, way more welcoming. There's even a sign that says " if you forgot something, please come to the front desk and we'll happily help you".

I neither needed the tampon nor the water, but little gestures go a long way.

THE OWNER TOLD ME TO GO FORICATE WITH MYSELF!!!
Pros:

Let me start by saying the Gonzo Inn WAS my favorite hotel in Moab. I have been staying at this establishment with wonderful memories since 1998. 60+ stays. 120+ nights. Unfortunately, the property has recently fallen under new ownership, and the property has gone downhill drastically. The rooms used to be carpeted and beautifully clean; now they are linoleum, loud, and filthy. The floors and countertops had not been wiped in either of the rooms we stayed in. We then booked the "master suite" with the jacuzzi tub. After drawing a bath for my wife with beautiful, crystal-clear water. I turned on the Jets, and to our horror, the tub immediately filled with black mold. (I have photos to prove it) Obviously ruining the end of the evening, as my wife would not get in the tub after seeing the mold. The following day I spoke with the front desk, and I was told it was not mold; rather, it was the city water.... Which could not be further from the truth. The entire town would be up in arms if that was the city water. I have stayed in this exact room 20+ times and use the tub without issue each time. The tub was crystal clear prior to turning on the Jets. There was no new water added to the tub. The Jets and Plumbing in the tub are full of mold. The front desk and ownership were extremely dismissive of our concerns and offered to do nothing. Management would not even return my phone calls. The new ownership/Fatima do not understand hospitality, and their lack of empathy is of concern. I will be avoiding the Gonzo moving forward.

Do yourself a favor: stay ANYWHERE else. Then eat at Cactus Jack's.

Pros:

Very spacious room, with living room and kitchenette, balconies. Bed was comfortable. Nice pool. Good location for walking around Moab, restaurants nearby, etc.

Cons:

Breakfast options that were covered by the included coupons were very limited, especially if you're staying for several days. To order from the regular cafe menu meant we still had to pay for quite a bit (+ adding a tip, etc.).
