Stayed when lots of kids in hotel. Room was nice, staff friendly, kids out of control. Parents really need to talk with their kids about behavior.

We had a very bad experience when we stayed in this hotel last year with the skinny Filipino receptionist whom I believe he is the reception manager. He was very rude and did not fix the issues on my address that was wrong and over charge us for $200 a night. I believe he is scamming. When I called direct to the hotel reception number for booking, I checked online the rate it is in between $116-122 depends the room. There was no rate of $200 at the time of my booking. A lady in the reception answered my call. She ask me if I am a member? " I answered (no) I asked if I will be a member do I have discount, she said yes. I told her, this was the 2nd time we will stay there " the reception answered me she found my record. However, when she tell my address, it was wrong not in Canada but overseas, but my name and email is correct, wrong phone number on the record, there was also different card number on the record. I told reception that is maybe different person. After booking, I will verify the next day when we check in. When we check in this Filipino guy is in the reception. I told him the issues on my personal address and record that is wrong, asked the reception to check and corrected it. This reception did not do anything he just mention that the reception who booked me is a new and she do not know what she is doing.
I booked 2 nights but after we check in and settled on our room we found out the pool is not working. My child want to swim for this reason we choose this hotel. So we stayed only one night check out the next day to find hotel that has swimming pool. My surprise we were charge $200 +taxes. I asked him if he charge us 2 nights, no that's only one night. I told him that I am sure the rate was below 200 when I booked. He started to answer rude . He told me that when I booked It was in US$ so it will be automatic exchange to Ca$ so that's make rate high. Why is in a US$ I am in Canada and I called direct to the reception from here in why I get charge in US Dollar rate? he answered me back sometimes like that. I notice the address on my receipt was overseas, he did not change or corrected it as I complain upon check in. I asked him if I can speak to the manager, he told me no manager around but he told me to give me discount and change mu rate. He print another receipt charge 108 + tax and other charges. He told me the rest will be refunded on my credit card in 3-5 business days but I never been refunded. I called back again 3 times to follow up because I did not recovered the refund. He was so rude on the phone said its already refunded on their record and done. I asked the manager, he told me no manager around. Every time I called no manager around. The 4th time I called a Filipina lady answer the phone when I explain the reason of my call sounds she knows already what I am going to say, she was rude and defending the other guy, I never refunded and its almost a month, she was so rude tell me that in the record I was already refunded, if I did not get it, she said it takes 15 days to a month so I have to wait. I asked again the manager she said no manager around. I wish I could speak to the general manager but they always saying no manager around. I never receive the refund, I just give up. I consider the money as donation to them in advance. I think this 2 reception are partner of Scam. May I advice customer to ensure the rate before you book and know the real name of the reception who registered you in. On the previous review I see other comment a guy was experience rudeness of this reception
