Pros:

Excellent stay ! Wow let’s start with rhe location - cannot be beat. Here’s why: 30 second walk to the metro station (one stop away from Taipei Main station) and the night market and entertainment district is literally behind the hotel but the hotel and rooms are quiet ! The staff is incredibly nice - some of the nicest people I’ve interacted with and the breakfast buffet is huge - so many choices. I’m impressed

Pros:

Property is less than 1min walk to Ximen Station Exit 6. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Room is clean and they gave 2 pineapple cakes as welcome snack. Only feedback is, soundproofing wasn’t great and i can hear people talking outside quite clearly. But i guess many hotels are like tat. Will stay again if i return to Taipei.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Westgate Hotel in Ximending, Taipei. The location is unbeatable—just steps from the MRT/subway station, surrounded by endless dining options, massage parlours, and within easy walking distance to everything in Ximending.

We booked the Executive Suite since we were traveling with four large suitcases, and the room was adequately spacious, clean, and comfortable. The standout, however, was the exceptional service—from the warm welcome at the front desk to the attentive staff in the restaurant, everyone was polite, friendly, and genuinely welcoming.

Our room included daily complimentary breakfast, offering a great selection of both Western and local dishes. The food was fresh, delicious, and well-presented—though it can get crowded at peak times.

Overall, Westgate Hotel exceeded our expectations, and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again on our next visit to Taipei. Highly recommended for both location and hospitality.
