Cute hotel and nice rooms. But the best thing is the location. Just across the bus stop, so convenience to move around the island by bus. Also just by the center and close to the restaurants
We had a lovely stay at Anthousa Hotel. Location absolutely perfect, right in the centre of everything but still quiet (we had one of the rooms at the back). Room was small but had everything we needed, cute little balcony as well. Toiletries and hairdryer provided. Breakfast was great and happy with the option to choose different items. Amazing value for money. Would definitely return.
I have stayed in many hotels throughout my life, but I will never forget the wonderful experience I had at Anthousa. The hotel's facilities were excellent, and every member of the staff went above and beyond to help and make sure we had the best possible holiday. Their warm smiles every morning at breakfast and the delicious food made our stay even more special. Thank you once again, Anthousa, for this unforgettable experience. I wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone.
Beautiful place near everything in Apollonia. The hotel owners were kind and helpful, and the place was perfect spot as a base to walk around the island. The view over Sifnos was beautiful and the room was spacy and stylish!
I had really good time here, thank you!
Great location and very clean room.
Nothing!
Breakfast was very good and staff very friendly. Nikki an excellent host always looking to look after our many requests and advise on anything to do with the island. A special mention to our young waiter Alexander who was always ready with a smile at breakfast time.
Excellent
This hotel is in an amazing location with a nice sized outside balcony. You do have a very distant view of the ocean way out past miles of natural undeveloped dryish fields which creates an interesting view. You are on a busy road but the windows are well sealed so it isn't loud. One night we heard a lot of cheering from the bar below, but later learned this was due to Knicks heading into the NBA and completely understandable :) and probably not typical. Going out the back of the hotel you are right into the beautiful white alleyways with many many shops and restaurants just 3 steps away so you can easily wander. The hotel has a very nice restaurant with fresh baked goods and an extensive menus with many items. The restaurant itself is open air and quite pretty with the option for breakfast with the room that is very affordable. There are many other options for coffee and eating in very easy walking distance (minutes) as well. Walk back on the main alley past the chapel for some great (but not cheap) places like Drakakis. There is daily room cleaning, and a pretty little inner atrium with greenery and seating as well as a little shop by the front desk/restaurant. The people were extremely friendly and nice. Beds were comfortable and they had blow driers in each room. From this central location you can drive to all kinds of beaches and little towns. Some of the beaches are more sandy and developed with umbrellas, restaurants and lounge chairs, and some are more natural (like Saralia) and can be beautiful for snorkeling. I personally preferred the more natural ones without lounge chairs and umbrellas but those tend to be more rocky which can make it harder to enter without boating shoes and harder to change unless you are willing to do a quick change under a sarong or such.
This is just a heads up that the shower drain closes if you turn it (even inadvertantly). I didn't realize this and the shower kept flooding the floor. It was because I was rotating clockwise to rinse my hair and inadvertantly closing the drain with my feet as I rotated, which was flooding the floor. So if you rotate to rinse, do it in both directions :)
