Mercure Hotel Amsterdam Sloterdijk Station

Super close to the transportation hub making it extremely convenient to get all around metro Amsterdam.

Quiet rooms. Hot showers. Good value.

Great place to stay for the Dutch GP. Everything clean and organized.

The accommodation was clean & well appointed & the staff excellent. Breakfast in the hotel was also excellent.

The staff were exceptionally profreeional and hospitable. All conveniences were met. However bottled water is limited to the first night only which was odd for a hotel of this calibre. Supermarkets were not within walking distance however there were convenience stores nearby. The hotel was exceptionally clean unlike all of the surrounding areas including the train station which seems to be neglected by way of sanitation.

Amazing location! Just steps away from the Sloterdijk train station and easy access to Grand Central Amsterdam with 1 stop and 2 stops away from Schipol airport. The staff were very friendly and helpful with assisting me to plan my days. The beds are super comfy! The breakfast is a full buffet, no a la carte menu items. I would definitely stay here again.

It was perfect for our needs. Easy to get into the center of Amsterdam and right next door to the train station where our Back Roads bike tour was meeting. The breakfast was excellent.

Check in was quick and easy. Hotel and rooms were very clean. Staff was helpful and provided recommendations for sightseeing.

The hotel is in a great location, conveniently close to the train station, and it is clean and well-maintained. The young lady who checked me in was very pleasant and helpful, though I unfortunately didn’t catch her name. However, my experience at checkout was disappointing. The staff member assisting me, Aycha, was unprofessional and seemed bothered by even basic questions, coming across as condescending. This negative interaction significantly impacted my overall experience, leading me to give a lower rating.

Very good location and service

The checkin staff was excellent. The room was difficult to get warm. The shower squealed horribly, presumably from pipe issues, the whole time you were using it. The refrigerator tirned off when you removed the key card from the power slot by the door so nothing stayed cold. While the hotel is near a train station, the Amsterdam public transport system is overly complicated with multiple, separate systems, difficulty getting tickets and inconsistent trains. Stay in the city if you can while vacationing in Amsterdam.

Where do I start...dark, poorly lit corridors. Sticky, stained carpets in bedroom. Shower floods bathroom floor. Everything in room felt sticky. Rooms too hot (air con lowest is 18) AC VERY noisy. Wallpaper peeling, lampshade broken, window would not open. Nespresso machine but off brand capsules, no decaf. Staff did not act on enquiries. Room keys failed twice. I could go on...Will never stay here again, glad only one night or would have went elsewhere. Overall, absolutely awful hotel, avoid!

The room was very dark (bad lighting) and was oddly shaped. The foldout bed was horrible and uncomfortable and the main bed was average with way too thick pillows. I also heard a lot of other sounds outside of our room. Not very quiet.

Staff was all very nice!!!!

My wife and I enjoyed this location close to railway station and local shops.
