Casa Morada is a charming and historic adults-focused boutique hotel (guests 16+) with 16 guest suites on a 1.7-acre site in Islamorada, Florida Keys. Originally a 1950s art deco motel, it was transformed by Miami furniture designer Robert Pariente and Guy Posschelle into spacious suites that prioritize conversation, intimacy and shared relaxation. The property features an expansive private garden designed by landscape architect Raymond Jungles, a private island reached by footbridge with an outdoor lounge and pool, a small sand beach, a limestone grotto, a bocce court, hammocks, swings and pillowed conversation pits. Guests enjoy complimentary kayaks, paddleboards and bicycles, complimentary yoga sessions on Wednesdays and Sundays, complimentary breakfast, and a sunset bar by the pool. Snorkeling is possible directly off the seawall, and boat tours are available on request. The resort is about a 90-minute drive from Miami International Airport and from Key West, and guests may also arrive by boat.
Guests are required to show a photo ID and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.

NOT AS ADVERTIZED. CONSTRUCTION PREVENTED USE OF FACILITY. POOL NOT OPEN. ROOM WAS BARE BONES. ROOM WAS NEXT TO HIGHWAY WITH TRAFFIC HEARD TRUCKS, ETC.
Nichts,oder wenigstens wurde uns das Hotel letztendlich kostenfrei storniert.
Das Hotel war geschlossen als wir ankamen. Es wurde von Arbeitern renoviert. Mussten dann ein anderes Hotel suchen

We booked to stay in Casa Morada and were sent an email a week before that there were works being done at the property so the deck pool was not available. However when we checked we were told that all of Casa Morada was being worked on and therefore we ended up being checked in across the road.
Although where we stayed was a decent room, it was not what we booked and were not told in advance that nothing at Casa Morada was available.

Casa Morada is not functioning. - it is "unifying" with Sunset Inn , a barely average roadside motel which is where I ended up. Paying resort prices for a Motel 6 is not my idea of value. I would suggest you check these properties more carefully. BTW the actual Casa Morada Pictures showed a beach. Neither property has beach access. If I could have obtained a refund I would not have stayed. Makes me wo Der about other properties you promote. L

Una experiencia muy diferente a lo que muestran las fotos
Reservamos Casa Morada porque las fotos publicadas en Booking eran espectaculares. La idea era disfrutar de un lugar frente al mar, poder contemplar el atardecer y el amanecer desde un entorno tranquilo y pasar tiempo a la orilla del agua.
Lamentablemente, la realidad fue muy diferente. Actualmente el hotel se está unificando con otra propiedad y prácticamente se encuentra en proceso de construcción/remodelación. Lo más decepcionante es que esta situación no se informa claramente antes de realizar la reserva y las fotos que se muestran no representan las condiciones actuales del lugar.
Después de reservar recibimos un mensaje con advertencias sobre la situación, pero para ese momento cancelar implicaba una penalización bastante considerable. Al llegar, por la hora y el poco tiempo disponible para buscar otra opción, prácticamente no tuvimos alternativa y decidimos quedarnos.
Por el precio pagado, definitivamente sentimos que la experiencia no valió la pena. Entendemos que un hotel pueda estar en remodelación, pero creemos que esto debería informarse de manera clara antes de que el huésped haga una reserva y que las fotografías deberían reflejar el estado actual de la propiedad.

Esperienza pessima e grave mancanza di trasparenza. Prima del soggiorno sono stata contattata dalla struttura, che mi ha avvisata di alcuni lavori di ristrutturazione limitati esclusivamente alla piscina e all'isolotto di fronte, offrendomi un piccolo sconto che ho accettato pensando si trattasse di un disagio minore.
La realtà al nostro arrivo è stata totalmente diversa: non era in ristrutturazione solo la piscina, l'intero complesso era un cantiere a cielo aperto.
Struttura inagibile e cantiere aperto: Quasi tutti gli edifici dell'hotel erano chiusi e abbandonati a se stessi. L'intero perimetro era pieno di tubi a terra, cellophane sulle pareti, lavori di pittura in corso e persino i furgoni dell'impresa edile parcheggiati.
Sistemazione precaria: Siamo stati sistemati al primo piano di un edificio dove il piano terra era totalmente sotto i lavori. Le condizioni generali erano fatiscenti e la sensazione era quella di alloggiare in un luogo dismesso e angusto.
Sicurezza e pulizia assenti: L'area esterna era quasi del tutto priva di illuminazione, rendendo i passaggi al buio e insicuri. Come se non bastasse, la camera non era pulita ed era visibilmente rovinata.
Vendere camere e ospitare clienti in un contesto del genere è inaccettabile, così come l'aver minimizzato l'entità dei lavori prima del nostro arrivo. Sconsiglio vivamente il soggiorno.

I lavori erano proprio accanto all’unica piscina dove eravamo e ovviamente ci hanno disturbato l’intera giornata, ma avendo accettato lo sconto ci poteva stare .Quello che davvero nn ho capito e’stata la colazione.. su un banchetto le cose essenziali ‘troppo essenziali’x essere un hotel a molte stelle.
Anche fosse ‘offerta’non all’altezza neanche di un 2 stelle , quasi offensiva per i suoi clienti , consiglio vivamente di modificare questa ‘scelta’, x il resto grande potenziale del posto , spero che una volta terminati i lavori diventi un piccolo gioiellino come potrebbe davvero essere. Cordiale la signora all’accoglienza ( anche se in altra location x il check in credo sempre x questione di lavori in corso).
Piscina molto gradevole quasi bordo mare con scaletta x poter scendere a fare un bagno , acqua accettabile non il top , ma piacevole, vista e contorni molto apprezzabili.

The view was nice.
The room was extremely dirty, hair was left all over shower floor and in the bathroom sink and in the bed under the covers and the living room futon. Dead roach was on the bedroom floor, loud construction starting at 8am, only one wash cloth in the bathroom, when we requested more, they only brought 1 more. Stains on futon and yellow stains on the floor, property did not reflect pictures on the website, property was clearly in a restoration phase. The shower had still water from previous guest that would not drain down, Wifi did not work, we had to use our mobile Hotspot for the smart tv. Sand area was full of rigged rocks and not smooth and fine as pictures portrayed. There was only 1 pool and it was lacking proper filtration. The price per night was extremely high for such a disgusting lack luster property. The breakfast was pathetic, I've seen a better spread at a holiday inn. Powdered eggs, hard bread and bagels and milk that was sitting out in a thermos. We met another guest in the room next to us who had the same experience and the hotel offered to give them their money back if they found another room. We never saw them again so I assume they found another hotel. We spoke to the lady at the front desk and texted her our pictures and were told that we would be contacted by management. We still have not heard from anyone.

We could not access our room was supposed to have a sofa, but instead had two chairs that were semi comfortable. The bed was very comfortable and was a very deep tub.
Total disaster. They should. It be permitted to rent rooms out right now. Everything is under contraction and roped off. Bikes and boats are easily 40 years old. Construction workers everywhere . Couldn’t leave your room if you wanted to. Can’t sit anywhere . Do not go here
I stayed in the garden area Twilight suite. My traveling companion stayed in the Manatee, one of the waterfront rooms. Both were sparkling clean, supplied with drinks, snacks, wonderful toiletries, great bedding. My views were of lush vegetation; his were waterfront and--again--lush vegetation Both lovely. Parking is convenient and safe at both areas. We keep the car at my suite. Casa Morada is not the typical 5 star hotel. It is a quiet, traditional retreat in a setting that is wonderful old tropical Florida. As an 82 yr old native Floridian lady, this was the main draw for me. The landscape is beautifully designed with plenty of walking areas for me and my tiny dog, native Florida trees and plants, seating areas for scenic pauses, leading to a well-designed waterfront. Rejuvenation! Guests can bring their boats and moor them at the plentiful docking spots directly on the property; and many did. The waterfront rooms open directly to a boardwalk over the water to a small island pagoda. Gorgeous for morning, daytime and evening relaxing. Staff are all lovely and helpful. Special shout out to receptionist and General Factotum, Sam. She was at my friend's room in 2 minutes when he had a glitch with his TV one night. Guests check in at the Sunset Inn, directly on the highway. Casa Morada is behind it, off the road. The Inn and Casa Morada are all the same property. Mangrove Mike's is a wonderful restaurant in the same strip as the Sunset Inn office. Frequented by locals and travelers alike, a variety of foods, great wait staff. Enjoyed the hogfish sandwich and the key lime pie. All breads and desserts baked onsite. Also dined at the Island Grill a tad north of Casa Morada on the ocean side. Crunchy yellow snapper, strip steak, chicken wings are all special! We loved our stay at Casa Morada and didn't want to leave. My friend said he wants to live there. We. plan to return in November.
