We have been coming to Casa Morada Motel for over 10 years every February for about a week. We really like this place. Very peaceful. We always stay in one of the ocean rooms. This year 2026, they have better Staffing this year then the last few years after "covid". But also I found out it got sold, so perhaps that's the plus too. We will be coming back 2027 as scheduled :-). A really great place. Very pretty and peaceful. Not very kid-oriented and as before I believe you have to be 16 to stay here.
Plus-- their staffing has really improved, really outstanding staff.
We had a delightful stay. Our second floor "garden view" room was both comfortable and charming. The simple and delicious breakfast buffet was in its own building, closer to the water. Ruth, who both was at Reception and prepared breakfast, was lovely and welcoming. While we could have wished for warmer weather, it was still far colder up North :) it started to be more typical Keys weather as we were leaving!
This is the second time staying at Casa Morada. Such a lovely, quiet and beautiful location. It was unfortunate we were there when the weather was sooo cold but it did not dampen the stay at all, just confirmed the point that we need to come back when its warmer :-)
Un'isola di pace, molto ben tenuta, staff gentilissimo con uno spazio privato davanti al mare che non abbiamo potuto sfruttare a pieno per il vento freddo, peccato.
Buona colazione che si può consumare all'aperto fronte mare.
Il caffè offerto in camera, ma è una cosa che accade spesso all'estero..chiamarlo espresso non basta a farlo buono :)

Every staff member was friendly and delightful, always helpful. The hotel grounds are a tropical paradise. I think that might be the largest hotel room we’ve ever stayed in…very comfortably appointed as well. The breakfast buffet was delicious too. We can’t wait to return.

We have stayed in the upper keys a few times, and this place is far and above our new favorite. The grounds are beautifully manicured, giving an almost middle-of-a-jungle feel. Our room was well appointed with a retro style (which I love) refrigerator, and hand crafted ceramic coffee mugs adorned with "Casa Morada". But as beautiful as the resort is, Sam is the shining star! She greets everyone with an infectious smile and upbeat attitude. We had a small issue with our room (caused by previous tenants) upon arrival, and Sam came to our rescue within two shakes of a lamb's tail. She fixed the issue with a smile and enjoyable conversation, even suggesting some local options for dinner. So, if you have a chance to stay here, you will not be disappointed, and if you meet Sam, say hello for us.
p.s. We got a pizza at the Whistle Stop just up the streat. Very local place with delicious food and good prices. Recommend as well, especially if you are looking for something to have in your room.
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel and enjoyed every minute of it. Our room was spacious, quiet, clean and felt very private, which made it perfect for relaxing. The hotel grounds are absolutely beautiful and very well maintained. The beach and pool area are both stunning — great places to unwind and enjoy the surroundings. Breakfast each morning was excellent, with a great selection and delicious food. Most of all, the staff made our stay special — everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful. We would happily come back again and highly recommend this hotel to others!
We wanted a peaceful spot in the keys that had a cozy feel while still being connected. Casa Motlrada delivered on all levels. Spacious rooms, gorgeous views, plentiful parking, friendly service and lots of amenities. We kayaked and enjoyed the island. Our hostess was friendly, readily available and informative. The breakfast was also really nice.
The support staff at Cass Morada works hard. They do a great job creating an experience for all their guests.
If Islamorada is your destination key, I highly recommend staying here.
This felt like true paradise, even during the cool and rainy weather! The small, quiet resort offers all the comforts of home with beautifully appointed suites. Anything you need the staff is right there. So accommodating! We enjoyed trying out the bicycles, kayaks, and yoga. We totally soaked in the beauty of Casa Morada. Staff offered spot-on recommendations for dining and things to do.
Nice design. Beautiful pool/beach area. Wonderful yoga session. Love the peacefulness of the place.
Blackouts or darker curtains would make sleeping more comfortable.

The property was beautiful, serene. The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly. We got a quick tour when we arrived. Free kayaks, snorkel gear, and bikes kept us as active as we wanted to be. Also free yoga out on the island under the covered area was beautiful and well instructed. The breakfast was great and consistent. The room was big and clean. Overall, between the staff, the property, and honestly the products they use in the bathroom, this place was amazing and just what we needed. We are already looking forward to returning.

La porta del WC è fatt di lamelle inclinate, quindi nessuna privacy. Molto rumoroso l’impianto di climatizzazione, caratteristica che fa perdere molto il senso dell’isolamento e il silenzio che si potrebbe godere. Colazione molto basic

Overall, we really enjoyed our experience at casa morada. The grounds were very well kept and the pool area was very nice. We liked how laid back the atmosphere was. It was within walking distance to some restaurants. Our room was spacious and clean, but the big disappointment was our room had no shower. We stayed in the Shangri La suite and there was no shower. I would have liked it to be explicitly stated that there was no shower, because I never imagined that there wouldn't be one. It was very inconvenient to only have a tub in which to bathe for 5 nights. I would stay here again, but I would not book the Shangri La suite again due to this reason. We were also right next to the breakfast area so every morning we would walk out of our room door or use our balcony and be in the middle of everyone else enjoying their breakfast which was awkward, but not an inconvenience. Just something else you might want to know before booking the Shangri La suite.
