It's the bathroom again
Pros:

It's unclear to me, and in fact to many fellow travellers, why hotels have abolished proper bathrooms doors. The Bristol in Berne is just another example of having put instead of a real door some kind of sliding glass almost see-through door. Any public toilet would provide more privacy. Where does this trend stem from please? All else considered, the hotel is quite ok and centrally located. Rooms are run-off-the mill.

Excellent emplacement
Pros:

Nous avons aimé l'emplacement. Le personnel est très agréable. Les cocktails le soir très bons et le petit déjeuner aussi.

Cons:

Pas de parking, check-in trop tard.

Berner Bär unter Silberkugel begrüsst den Gast
Pros:

Die Lage des Hotels Nähe Bahnhof ist ideal. Trotz Zentrumslage war mein Zimmer ruhig (5. Stock).
Das Bett bequem und sehr sauber.
Die Leute der Putzequippe auf dem Stockwerk sind alle sehr freundlich, sie grüssen und lächeln. Scheinen auch effizient zu arbeiten.
Das Bad ist nicht riesengross, aber der Wasserstrahl sehr stark.
Personal generell sehr freundlich.
Auch der Lift in die oberen Stockwerke ist erstaunlich gross, also kein Problem mit grösseren Koffern und mehreren Leuten.

Cons:

Kleine Details die nicht ins Gewicht fallen:

Bin ein Karoliebhaber, hätte im Eingangsbereich noch etwas mehr "englisch und karo" erwartet.

Wer mit grösserem Koffer anreist möchte vielleicht einen Kasten zur Verfügung haben. Es hatte ein paar Kleiderbügel an offenem Metallgestell. Das reicht aber nie und nimmer wenn ich 3Nächte hier verbringen würde.

Excellent choice
Pros:

Excellent hotel in an excellent location. Room is spotlessly clean and well designed. Staff are very accommodating and polite.

Cons:

Two small observations; the bedroom lighting can be improved, and the shower soaps can be checked occasionally. The hair conditioner was more like water than conditioning cream. Otherwise, an excellent choice of a hotel which we shall gladly return to.

Vor Ort ist das Hotel sehr gut!
Pros:

Freundlichkeit, Zimmer, Kaffeemaschine, Sauberkeit

Cons:

Viel zu viele Informationen im Voraus via Booking.com Nachrichten vor dem Einchecken. Auch direkt nach der Buchung wird man umgehend mit Mails überhäuft und überfordert.
