Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt rundherum genossen und kommen seeehr gerne wieder.
Pros:

Das Haus im modernen Kolonialstil mit viel Holz, hochwertig möblierten Zimmer (sehr bequemes Bett, großes helles Bad) und der große Garten mit den vielen tropischen Pflanzen, Pool und jeder Menge Vögeln bieten ein sehr schönes, gehobenes Ambiente, ohne dabei aber "abgehoben" zu wirken. Das Personal ist Kolumbien-üblich sehr freundlich, sogar die Kellner sprechen englisch (habe ich in Kolumbien tatsächlich noch nie erlebt) und die Küche ist vorzüglich. Wir waren zum Jahreswechsel dort und auf dem Bett erwarteten uns u.a. eine Año Viejo-Puppe, gelbe Unterwäsche, eine Schale mit 12 Trauben, eine kleine Falsche Sekt und ein Gläschen mit Linsen, die allesamt zu den hier landestypischen Silvesterbräuchen zählen. Außerdem ein Gläschen mit diversen Körnern und Kernen, um morgens beim Frühstück die Vögel im Garten füttern zu können. Alles wirklich tolle kleine Aufmerksamkeit des Hotels.

Cons:

Leider war unser Zimmer sehr dunkel, sodass man selbst tagsüber das Licht anschalten musste. Außerdem hätten wir uns ein kleinen Schreibtisch o.ä. gewünscht, auf dem man mal den Laptop auspacken kann. Durch die Silvesternacht wurde irgendwo auf einem Grundstück gegenüber bis morgens sehr laut gefeiert. Dafür kann natürlich das Hotel nichts, Lärmschutzverglasung hätte das aber sicher etwas erträglicher gemacht. Aber das waren tatsächlich die einzigen klitzekleinen Wermutstropfen unseres sehr schönen Aufenthalts.

Gorgeous resort, lush vegetation, close to Pereira and airport

Cons:

Very strange coffee policy. Even though there is a coffee machine in the room, your limit is two capsules total for two people even though you stay 3 nights. There was no signage about the policy, that you had to BUY more capsules. So if you stay one night you get two capsules. If you stay 7 nights you still only get 2 capsules. Illogical and makes the hotel look cheap. What a shame for such a small thing.

We stayed in room 8. Not a good choice. This room shouldn’t be offered because it’s not up to the level of the hotel. It’s very loud and humid. The second night the neighbours organised a party that went until 6am. From room 8 it was like being there. Impossible to sleep. I complained with the staff. Answer: “ we are sorry, there is nothing we can do”. Yes, there things you can do, like putting double glass on windows, talking with neighbours about a code of conduct, etc. Disappointing, it should have been a great experience.
