The room was big, with a fully equipped kitchen including microwawe, electric cooking stuff, coffee machine and microwave
It was very clean and quiet. The setting of the hotel in a kind-of tropical garden looks great. Several pets such as cat, dog, parrots and "unfortunately" a rabbit in a cage + turtles in small pond. Location is also great since not a direct beach side (noisy and crowded) but 5 min walk away. So it's very calm
Several issues ruined my stay here...their WIFI is absoulely lousy and not working well at all. This was a MUST for me to have good reliable WIFI and they even confirmed by e-mail they have reliable one...this was NOT TRUE and during all my stay I lost much time trying to connect to my professional mails and other stuff. It was actually the WORST WIFI I had during my Central America trip (25 days). I have reported this to the reception, and they said they would "restart" everything, but nothing improved. The pool is much smaller than expected with very cold water. The breakfast is limited to 2 options every day, which is not enough to my opinion. They should go for "à la carte" menu. I was supposed to have my fridge filled up with soft drinks (USD 2) but it was not despite 1 reminder, had to buy myself drinks from outside.
Last but not least Uber being not present in Roatan they overcharge you 25 USD each way from airport to hotel. It's offered when you stay 5 days or longer.
Roatan / West Bay is heavily overcharged for all activities, so the hotel is.

I wish thr parrots, bunnies, and turtles were better looked after (more perches and for them to be able to be covered at night). But that really doesn't have anything to do with the comfort of my stay.
My family of four loved the location- right near the beach but set back so it was not so busy. The views of the surrounding hills and vegetation were great, especially from the roof. The roof pool was a huge bonus too! All the staff were very friendly and helpful and Celeste gave us lifts to and from the airport, even taking my daughter on to the ferry port. The condo was very clean and comfortable and we had everything we needed.
The windows needed replacing but we were told that was going to happen soon. One was just very difficult to close but we managed it.

Location, it’s just a 2 min walk to the main beach straight across the gate, bang opposite to the small local mall with stores for grocery, bike rentals, cafes and a hospital.

My family and I loved West Bay Lodge. We stayed in the two-bedroom, two-bathroom condo and it was perfect for our family. We all had plenty of space and the full kitchen helped us cook a few meals at home. The location is fantastic - a five-minute walk to the water, but far enough from the loud music and crowds of the beachfront. Celest and Laurelie and the team at West Bay Lodge are all amazing hosts. They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and happy and helped us with snorkeling equipment and tours. We will be back!

The owner is very attentive and friendly. The room is very spacious with air conditioning and full kitchen. The location is 3 minute walk to the beach. The owner is also so nice to lend snorkeling gears and pointed the best snorkeling site just footsteps away from the hotel, which saved me the hassle booking a snorkeling tour (I saw so many fish (very big ones too) and sea stars!) absolutely enjoyed my stay here!
The shower is not very strong.
