Hotel Marovi

El servicio fue muy bueno, las instalaciones son muy comodas y muy cerca a la playa y area comercial de santa marta, pero en la pagina se deberia hacer la aclaración que los precios que alli se relacionan son sin iva, ya que el valor final a pagar fue mayor al que en la pagina de hoteles.com decia

I liked this hotel a lot. It’s not that far from the beach, it’s close to the Parque de los novios and it’s quiet at night. The bed was comfortable and the room is pretty big. The only things I did not like was that the shower knob was broken and made it annoying taking a shower. Also there was no shower head but for the price that I got it I wasn’t about to complain about that because I know the cleaning lady would have reported that.

Estuvo bien. Me hubiera gustado que tuviera restaurante por lo menos para el desayuno, de resto la estadia super bien!

The staff here was amazing-- so helpful and nice from the owner on down! The hotel is clearly not a 5 star hotel, so the beds weren't the most comfortable, and the shower pressure a stream, but I didn't expect that at the price. For budget conscious folks this is a great option in a good location.

Location is good.
The building is ok. The staff not my favourite, there is no safe, and the overall feeling about this is pretty close to good - but just not quite there...

Great location just around the corner from Parque de los novios which is full of bars and restaurants. Easy access to buses to get around. Amazing management, they even offered to delay our 2 night stay when we arrived a day late due to a missed connection in Bogota for no extra charge. Offered loads of advice and what to do in the area and how to do it.

The staff was very welcoming and friendly!! My room was very clean and the bed very comfortable. Excellent wif in my room. I felt very safe and taken care of

The hostal was pretty good overall with clean room and air conditioning and good pricing. The neighbourhood is somewhat noisy because it is really close to the historic/touristic part of the city. Costumer service was uneven depending on the staff working.

A decent and clean hotel in a GREAT area of the historic city, convenient to everything.

The hotel is simple, clean and a good deal in a good area of the historical center of Santa Marta. The staff was ok not great. The hotel has no real amenities. No breakfast as stated on Expedia, which was a disappointment, because it was false advertising. I would recommend this hotel if you want something economical and straight forward.

My husband and I stayed 3 nights in this hostal. It's in a great location near the markets, bars & restaurants and the water.

The staff are great, they spoke a little English, helped us get to places and were available 24/7.

The room itself was pleasant, the bed was ok, the room had an air con and fan and had plenty of storage.

The bathroom was the only downer. The shower was cold which was ok as the weather is sooo hot. The water however just came out of a hole in the wall (ie didn't spray) and the shower leaked so the bathroom floor was constantly wet.

Because of the hostal location there was a bit of street noise but that was fine. There is no laundry facilities nor any shared kitchen that I could see.

Also there is no elevator but the boys at reception will happily carry them up the stairs.

Overall a good stay.

Great value for money; handy to everything; staff have little to no English so be prepared for difficult communication.

rooms with a/c. great location, just,one block away from parque de los novios, 2 blocks from the sea. Fair prices. Very close to the cool bars and restaurants. If you're looking for a hostel this is not the place for you, no shared spaces at all
