Noise

Dirty rooms and lack of routine maintenance . Unfortunately I had to share my room with cockroaches.

The rooms are directly above the Cocktail bar area which likes to play DJ sounds (think "doof doof doof doof") until 2am on most nights. So if you value your sleep you might not appreciate CAVO

The room was over a restaurant that had a very loud disco until 1 am, The disco was not mentioned in property details nor on booking.com and the monotonous thud kept us awake even with windows shut.

No table/desk or dressing table

Room service / cleaning poor and erratic- only twice in 5 days

Room maintenance bad - there was a broken doorstop fixed to middle of floor in the bathroom that had bare, rusty metal bits pointing up; I was lucky not to slice my foot open on it. This is dangerous. Told reception; she was dismissive and offhand, said nothing could be done about it,. The external sun blind was disintegrating. Supports for high level shelves in wardrobes missing, shelves were poised to fall out on top of you. Room doorlock had poor fit, door banged continuously when it was windy.

The walking distance to the old town. The bathroom had a minor water




leak but the owner quickly addressed it to be repaired.

The jakuzzi bath was not working...
The hotel is not the first youth..

There was no sofa bed but advertised as having one. No signage outside to locate reception. The suite had not been properly cleaned at all. We found a huge amount of dust everywhere. The windows had not been cleaned. There were no toiletries or bathrobes as advertised. We had no hot water in the morning. Fridge was actually a wine cooler. Despite having a kettle there were no cups, tea, coffee etc - when questioning this we were told we could have tea and coffee in the restaurant after 9 a.m. In summary this place has the potential to be wonderful but they seem to have little or no interest in the accomodation rather concentrating on profitsfrom the restaurant. Poor and intermittent wifi. On leaving we invited the guest manager or owner to contact us privately to discuss our concerns but we were not contacted hence this review.

When I arrived, there was no one at the reception. Since there was a jacuzzi in the room, I wanted to use it, but there was no hot water. I immediately informed them by SMS and also told this to the restaurant downstairs. Warm water was promised for 20 minutes. I went out in the meantime and when I came back the water was lukewarm... That was only for a few minutes and then ice cold water started coming out again. Downstairs is a restaurant where there was a lot of noise until 1 am. It was especially terrible when the staff cleaned the restaurant and closed it, because there was clattering of dishes and loud shouting. Of course, nothing came of falling asleep early either. It was quiet for a while (around 1-2 in the morning) and I thought I'd go see the night life of the city. When leaving the room, it turned out that every door of the lower floor was locked and it was impossible to leave the building! I ventured in the middle of the night in the dark and empty lobby and in the restaurant, hoping to find a way out of the house, which was impossible!!! How can such a thing even happen, that the accommodation locks its customer in the house for the night. Anything could have happened and I would have been helplessly stuck in the house. I also tried to open the front door with my key, but it didn't work, so there was nothing left but to go to sleep and call my stay over.... Terrible experience.

The apartment has swinger club vibes.
