Left Feeling Like Family
Pros:

You will not find a more family friendly place than The Blue Bahia! From the second you arrive, Josh, Kim, Becca, their children and all of the staff will make you feel like you just arrived to visit your own family. We were in Roatan for two weeks and Blue Bahia was our first stop and we truly did not want to leave, in fact we did not leave the whole week. There was a craft fair, game night, live music, paddle boarding and a fire on the beach every night. We also went diving with Jordan and Sandy Bay Divers every day we were there and the restaurant was fantastic as well. Watching the kids play and make new friends was just one of the highlights. You will not find a harder working family and staff. Becca does a great job sharing a text each morning of daily things to do on the island, but again we never left. We moved locations the second week of our stay and the whole time just kept saying how much we missed The Blue Bahia hospitality as it is truly unmatched. 10/10 recommend for anyone looking for a more quite place on the island catered to family.

Feels like home!
Pros:

We enjoyed our visit at this relaxed casual beach front resort where you feel like part of the family! Rooms are clean, cozy, quiet and comfy! Activities such as music, games, beach bonfire and daily drink and dining specials made our stay so much fun! Low season specials make this resort a great value. The owners and staff are gracious and fun, which is why we keep returning!

Very nice 😎
Pros:

We have been to Blue Bahia a few times and have noticed in improvement each time we go. The restaurant has had noticeable improvements. The small resort has a homie feeling I’d like large Resorts . The diving is very good, that nut the comfort and variety of Anthonys or Coco view. However, those two Resorts are more like a cattle operation.

Blue Bahia Resort is a beautiful, quiet property in Sandy Bay. Recently spent five days there and can not wait to go back. Becca and her team are fantastic! Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Becca sends daily messages with island facts and activities for the day. The Beach grill has great food and drinks. Thank you Becca and team for making our first time in Roatan one we will never forget!

All inclusive vibe without the all inclusive price
Pros:

We had an amazing time at the Blue Bahia during our honeymoon. It was both secluded and in a great location to get to other parts of the island. The restaurant on site allowed us to add to our tab and had amazing food, it felt as though we could get a drink or food anytime we wanted. Extremely kind and attentive staff. There were a few other locations for food near by that were walkable. Every day the host recommended activities that were great! Absolutely amazing trip and we couldn’t be happier. We don’t dive but would highly recommend for divers as dive shop onsite!

Pros:

The staff is fantastic-very friendly and helpful. The restaurant was excellent. We enjoyed every meal.
It’s a beautiful location.
The only draw back is that it is not an inviting beach to relax on. A road runs down the beach and the water is nothing you would want to walk into. The pool is nice and it’s a small resort.
If you are looking to retreat in a non-touristy spot-this is your place.

Wonderful gem!
Pros:

If I could give more stars I would. What a gem of a place. Away from the crowds yet very close to airport, West End and West Bay if desired. Becca is very communicative, all staff is amazing, the restaurant is wonderful, and Pancake ♥️ We will be back! Thank you to the Blue Bahia team for making our short stay so memorable.

Pros:

Blue Bahia is a cozy place to stay. Rooms/condos are rustic but rural beach suitable. Management communication is excellent and aims to please. Housekeeping & maintenance do an excellent job. Ii would say this is off the beaten track abd is ideal for people who are adventuresome and prefer to avoid the big all inclusives and the clutter of touristy shops. The on site restaurant had good service, really nice service staff, and good food. Do try the soursop iced tea - it is not on the menu, so ask for it. Within walking distance you can arrabge for horseback rides, dolphin encounters, dive and snorkel trips. The pool is beautiful and refreshing. I stayed 5 nights and would return.

Amazing time, felt like I was a part of their family staying there
Pros:

We had a great time here at Blue Bahia. Everyone one was great! We met the owner Josh & his daughter Becca. They are awesome and they make sure you are happy with everything there. The food is probably the best on the island. Wally and Karen were are servers and did an incredible job during our stay. They make you feel like family! There are many more people to thank, everyone was amazing! The dive shop and boats are also on the premises. Ernie was amazing and took us to some incredible sites. I did 11 dives and every dive was different and spectacular. I plan on coming back, it was one of the best dive vacations I have ever had and it was mainly because of the people at Blue Bahia!

Family friendly paradise
Pros:

We just returned from our 3rd stay at the Blue Bahia (2nd stay this year) and loved every minute of it. Upon arrival we were immediately greeted by Josh, Kim, and Becca who own and run the Blue Bahia and go out of there way to personally interact with all the guests and make them feel truly welcomed.

We again stayed in the Seahorse Suite, and the two bedrooms were perfect for traveling with our toddler. Having a full kitchen was so helpful as we ate breakfast and lunch in our condo and then had dinner each night at the Blue Bahia Grill.

Carlos and Sulema do a great job maintaining the property and are so kind and welcoming (Sulema even cut up our pineapple for us one day so it was ready ready after a morning of diving and playing in the pool). While the water is a bit on the muddier/seagrass side, Carlos keeps the beach area raked every day so it was still a great spot to hang out and play with our toddler.

The pool was a favorite spot with our toddler, and we also made good use of the complimentary kayaks.

What really sets the Blue Bahia apart is the laid back and family atmosphere. The waitstaff at the Blue Bahia grill (also owned by Kim and Josh) were so patient with our toddler who frequently created quite the mess as meal times. They all knew him by name, taught him Spanish words, and offered lots of high fives and fist bumps. We feel so welcomed there with our high energy toddler and hope to be back soon.

Pros:

It was a unique small resort that was beautifully landscaped, felt a little like you were in the jungle. It was quiet off the beaten path. We felt very safe. Everyone was so friendly and you got to know everyone. Food at the Beach Grill was great. There are a couple more restaurants in walking distance that are also good. We took Kayak and paddle boards out to the Reef. We even took them over to Dolphins and watched the dolphins. My daughter and I run everyday and found plenty of beach, dirt and paved roads to run on. All and All it was an Amazing Little place.

Pros:

The Blue Bahia Resort is a small, beautiful place that is set among tropical gardens directly on the beach. The condos are efficient and have everything you need and more. Housekeeping everyday with fresh towels was a plus. The restaurant is great. Staff is excellent- very kind, helpful and courteous. They go out of their way to help, or ask if you need anything. We hope to visit again sometime.

It should be noted that the need for taxis to get around from Sandy Bay is necessary. Taxis are expensive in Roatán. We should have rented a car, although parking is extremely limited.

Give them a try for a relaxing holiday away from the cruisers
Pros:

Josh, Kim and Becca run an extremely comfortable, efficient and laid back resort. Becca was a great communicator and always available to answer questions or deal with any concerns. We stayed in the Wave for two weeks and found it very spacious and comfortable. We had a few minor issues which were resolved quickly and cheerfully. WiFi was strong and we were pleased with the recommended taxi driver who met us at the airport.

Not much of a beach as a sand road runs along the water and there is lots of sea grass. This is more than compensated by the 10 minute swim to the reef or the 5 minute kayak ride. Kayaks and paddleboards were available for the guests use and there is a dive shop on site. Menu specials in the restaurant some days were great value, particularly the Friday fish fry and the occasional music nights were great fun.
An unrelated restaurant 50 yards down the beach, The Sunken Fish, was exceptional.
