Thank goodness we only stayed here for only one night as part of a tour.
The negatives our room was extremely noisy so didn’t sleep much at all. The en-suite was very badly thought out we literally sat on the toilet in our own shower water might as well not bother with a shower cubicle.
The positives stunning views, public areas kept nice and the staff were lovely and apologetic when we complained and gave us a free bottle of wine.

I went to this place on 2025.11.11. It is an unforgettable place. The food is delicious. I have enjoyed my stay.

This hotel was booked as part of a tour , what we found was the location although good for views was away from the centre up a very very steep hill.
The access to our room was via outside concrete steps which can be wet and have a steep gradient.
The staff will carry your bag to the room and help but the absence of a lift makes it not suitable for people with any form of health issue.
The building is looking in need of investment to bring it up to modern standards.

窓からの眺望が素晴らしかったです。ヌワラエリヤ一帯とグレゴリー湖が見渡せる部屋で、夜景と湖面に映る朝日がとても素敵でした。最高の眺めと共に美味しい朝食も楽しむことができました。
部屋は少し肌寒かったのですが、毛布とヒーターがあり快適に過ごせました。

We really liked the hotel — the service was excellent, both in the kitchen and at the reception. The view is beautiful, and there’s always a refreshing breeze that makes the stay even more enjoyable. Despite the cold weather, we always felt a warm atmosphere — both from the people and in every detail of what we needed. Truly great attention and support throughout our stay!

The oak Ray is a best hotel in Nuwara Eliya. Excellent service and food. Recommend to visit this hotel. The view is also super.

A awesome stay in Nuwara Eliya with breathtaking mountain views and a cool climate and view. The staff were friendly and kind, our room was clean and comfortable, and the balcony offered a perfect spot to enjoy the scenery. Breakfast and room service were excellent. The hotel was an absolute delight and exceeded all my expectations!

The manager was very professional, warm and set an immediate tone of excellent hospitality.

​The property itself is nestled in a stunning location and the premises are absolutely breathtaking with purple and pink hydrangeas blooming all over! For a moment, it felt like I'm in heaven. 🥹

The restaurant also boasts a top notch buffet breakfast and I had such a hearty meal!

​However, the highlight was undoubtedly the view from my room window. Waking up to the magnificent, sprawling vista of the Nuwara Eliya landscape—whether it was a mountain, garden, or even a glimpse of Gregory Lake—was truly a sight to behold.

​Given Nuwara Eliya's cool climate, having a room heater was such a blessing. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a tranquil and beautiful getaway in the hills of Sri Lanka.

The only downside is, I had to come back. Till next time, Nuwara Eliya. Love you. 🥹❣️

We had great stay at Oak Ray Summer Hill Breeze. My kids enjoyed their 2 nigths stay very much. Hot water in the bathroom was so good. The staffs, waiters and helpers were very friendly, helpful and attentive. The food at restaurant was excellent. The view from the room overlooks the beautiful valley. Great view. Rooms are very clean and can be accessed with few stairs climb. Hot water was excellent. Some rooms are accessible outdoors with great view of the valley. Quiet morning with mist and breeze feels good. Just very few minutes away from main town. Had a very safe stay throughout. Its a quite a narrow windy few minutes stretch walk down to town. Food and drinks are excellent. Hotel provides umbrellas during rainy day for outdoor rooms access. Luggage are handled by helpers without any hassle. Any requests are attended quickly by friendly and helpful staffs, workers and also waiters. Overall the hotel is value for money.

Amazing views from the Restaurant and the Room. The room was clean and tidy. Bathroom facilities were good. The food was well presented and tasty. Staff were friendly and helpful. Nice place to stay. Some steps to certain rooms were steep.
