Относительно норм.

I expected everything for the price i booked the trip from level travel. But the room i got was below any standard.
The worst was construction noise coming from outside, even at night.
On arrival i asked to change the room because of the noise, but they said they didn't have any available room.
The room itself was dirty, old, small: very depressing.
I barely slept at night and in the mooring i asked again if i could have another room.
This time there was an option on the other side of the building, and the room itself, though also old, with power sockets and soap dispensers brokeb and overall feeling of misery, was worth its price. It was a bit more spacious, had new windows instead of the garbage in the first one and it was quiet at last, except for the noise from the corridor which you get anyways. It was exactly what i expected for the money i paid) The corridor is super dirty, room doors don't close properly, so you see light coming from inside the rooms and hear every step other quests make and every word the say when walking by your room.
The bottom line is you either get a very modest option - fair for the low budget it is, or you get a room you want to leave the moment you see it. My advice is dying try your luck.
The staff were nice but really helpless. For instance, it took me 45 minutes and 3 phone calls to get myself a hairdryer.

No refrigerator , No cooling system, reception not friendly , elevator always not working ( out of service ), breakfast was not good,bad view, lower than 2 star hotel !
Never ever travel to this hotel

My family and I stayed here for 5 nights. Checking time was really long. Our room was in 5th floor and the room and the bath was really spacious, but it was dirty . housekeeping was really poor. The room did not have refrigerator but it had a hairdryer and a kettle. They did not provide shampoo, other lotions and toothbrush. The towels were shabby which I never have seen before in other hotels. There was a shared iron for ironing in the corridor . A water dispenser also was located in the corridor for guests. The elevators were a disaster, very small and they did not have sensor!
Breakfast was served in the 4 star part of hotel (Azimut). The options was limited, but enough for every tastes and the quality was good, the breakfast included sausages, two kinds of Kielbasa, eggs, meatballs, some kinds of vegetables rice, … There was not fresh fruits or yogurt.
The location was fifteen minutes walking from the metro and it was far from Nevsky street.
Staff could not speak English and they did not smile and were not helpful at all.

We were booked at this hotel by an organization we were attending a conference with, so I contemplated moving to Azimut, the newer hotel that A Hotel is attached to, as the room was small and certainly had the looks and feels of Soviet era Russia.

However, the room was clean and warm, and I would even dare say well-maintained for what it probably began with. The bed and beddings were old and spartan, but since I didn't get a backache and it didn't smell, it was fine.

Buffet breakfast was at the Azimut restaurant. The two hotels are connected, but you walk a long way through A Hotel's corridors.

There was a water dispenser by the elevator on our floor. If you get hungry in the middle of the night, you have to go to Azimut or make do with the vending machine at the lobby. There was a gift shop with reasonable prices at the lobby.

We used the public transport twice, but we always had to walk 15 minutes from the two different stops, which were chilly walks in the evenings.

I wouldn't mind staying at this hotel again if booked by someone else. I think it's an okay hotel, and it's an interesting experience staying at a Soviet Era hotel.

However, I won't book for myself here next time I'm at St. Petersburg, as I'd like to be closer to the main attractions and have a more comfortable stay.

For those looking for a cheap but clean alternative, this is an okay hotel.

Lied about the upgrade -NO hot water, staff at the desk was very misleading !!

Old soviet style hotel, the location was good for us as it was close to our place of interest.

A well located hotel. The rooms are nice, and the staff was very helpful and kind always. From this hotel you can go by walking to the most important monuments of the city. Very good option with a low price.
