Best Western Premier Garden Hotel Entebbe

To start, we believe honesty is the best policy (for better or worse), especially with travel reviews. We are from Canada/United States, and we’ve traveled to 50+ countries and seven continents. We are middle class, though still have high expectations when we are spending significant money on international travel. We stayed at the Best Western in Entebbe for two days after travel from Tanzania to Uganda. We were very impressed with the property. The staff were incredibly welcoming and spoke multiple languages. The place was very clean. The Wi-Fi was incredible, even outside by the pool. The workout room was clean and spacious. The hotel room was clean and had great showers with incredible hot water. The breakfast, lunches, and dinners were plentiful and tasted very good. The bartenders did a great job making affordable but fancy drinks. Breakfast was included with our room. The airport shuttle was on time, spacious, clean, and the driver was very polite. We were incredibly impressed with the general manager of the property. He was polite, professional, and always available. Furthermore, my wife wanted one of the paintings available for sale on the first floor by the upstairs bar. We had some special requests with the painting for sale, so the manager personally called the artist to come help us with our purchase. The manager handled all communications with the artist, as we need it specially packaged for purchase. Overall, the property and staff were top of the line. The property has a beautiful pool outside by the botanical garden, which sits right on Lake Victoria. We can’t recommend this property enough for travelers from all over the world.

From the welcoming staff to the large rooms to the great breakfast and good dining, this is a great hotel to stay at. It is also advantaged by being attached to the Victoria Mall where there is another restaurant and a place to exchange money.

Room is smelly. Noise is everywhere. Old furniture and no proper repair. Breakfast is very poor. I am say it is max 3 stars hotel

I have been a frequent guest at Best Western Premier Garden Hotel in Entebbe for several years, and I can confidently say it remains the best, reasonably priced hotel in Entebbe.

The highlight of my most recent stay was the personalized support and attention from the General Manager, Amos — a hands-on, accessible, and genuinely hospitable leader. My organization hosts a conference at the hotel at least once a year. The latest one was last week and Amos ensured that we received timely, seamless access to all the facilities and arrangements we need. His professionalism and warm approach is exemplary.

Meals and rooms were so good

Khotels has the best rooms I have ever seen. Meals are extremely good.
There is a piece of mind just by reaching at K-Hotel. Drivers are good and front office members are good people to relate with.

Easy location near the Entebbe airport from which to start and finish your tour of western Uganda's National Parks. There is a mall with dining options and a food market connected to the hotel. The staff was excellent and the room (with a small balcony) was fine. There numerous monkeys to see in the rear of the premises.

What a fabulous place to stay! It was the starting location for a 10 day safari tour through Uganda. I arrived a few days early to acclimate and then returned for a few days of local exploration before returning to the U.S. The rooms were comfortable, the staff was friendly and caring, the art work on each floor was fun and enhanced my anticipation for the journey with wildlife. I felt safe and cared for! And the pool was awesome and well maintained. The wild monkey “parade” at night was a lot of fun to see, as groups of vervet monkeys crossed the property on the way to where they nest in the evening!

The onsite Jacaranda Cafe was fabulous! The food was varied and delicious. The wait staff were awesome! Farida Nguna was especially wonderful. As I was there several days, she began anticipating my wants and asked if I wanted my usual beverages. And, when the kitchen was out of ingredients for my favorite avocado and mango salad for two days in a row, she went out of her way to bring in a mango especially for me, and then had the salad made for me for lunch on the day I departed! I was very touched!

I highly recommend this place as a good spot to start and finish a visit to this beautiful country!

Always enjoy friendly service and comfortable room. Not happy they are charging extra for airport shuttle now. One of the reasons I have stayed there but not likely again.

The hotel is perfectly co-located with the Victoria Mall so you have easy unfettered access to the amenities of the mall including complementary use of the gym. There is a lot to like about the Best Western – the rooms are spacious and modern with well-appointed furniture and standard amenities (TV, kettle, fridge), a very comfortable bed and great water pressure for the shower. There is also a bar, restaurant and 24 hour business center that wholly supports ones work needs, including fast WiFi. The staff are also efficient, kind and attentive to your needs. This is definitely one place that cares for their clients.

I keep coming back to this property because of its vicinity with Victoria Mall. I will look for alternatives since this hotel started to charge $10 one way airport shuttle per person while the price is still higher compared to any similar US Best Western location. Something is rotting at the core of African hotel industries.

The hotel no longer offers free airport shuttles. They probably lost my business. The restaurant inside the hotel is under expectations. The pool is actually a separate business outside the hotel. You have to go around the building. Quite disappointing !
