Pros:

Albergo storico di fronte al lago e a 2 passi dal Tempio del Dente e del mercato. Struttura affascinante . Belle camere. Personale gentilissimo e disponibile. Buona colazione a buffet. Bel ristorante in una sala immensa con buffet il week end e alla carte gli altri giorni. Grande piscina. Tutto perfetto.

Mooi Historisch hotel
Pros:

Mooi historisch hotel met goede ontbijtruimte en fijn groot zwembad in de tuin. Mooie grote receptie ruimte met fijne grote zit stoelen. Leuke bar ruimte met goede ruime stoelen en lekkere drankjes. Super locatie recht tegenover de ingang van de Tempel van de Tand en aan het meer. Veel Restaurants en winkels zitten ook vlakbij het hotel.

Cons:

De kamer was verouderd en stonk naar schimmel en de badkamer was erg klein. De airconditioning was ook verouderd en maakt veel herrie geluid.

Lovely historical hotel in the heart of Kandy
Pros:

Beautiful hotel steeped in history and still retains a lot of it. Little museum by bar.. Room was spacious had a balcony, overlooking the lake. Buffet style breakfast was good start to the day. Had live music in the dinning room one night while we were there.
No complaints and really enjoyed our stay.

Cons:

Nothing. There is a little wear and tear but to be expected in a property this age.

Too noisy to sleep (due to heavy traffic and dogs vowing)
Pros:

1 minute to Tooth Temple and the lake, real center of the city, historic building, various nice foods at breakfast
But so noisy that we cannot sleep at a minute (due to heavy traffic and dogs vowing), room too small, dusty, old, many walls and furniture breaking and torn

Lovely stay, great staff and breakfast, beautifully maintained historic building
Pros:

Excellent location. We were torn between this hotel and one up in the hills and tuktuking into the city as we have in other places but definitely glad we picked somewhere central. Excellent breakfast. Very professional and attentive staff. Cocktail menu was great and pool in good condition. Room clean and spacious. They've preserved the building well (ignore those saying it's in need of a touch up it's an old building and they've kept the historic touches which in our opinion improved our experience). They even have a small museum in the bar to show the history of the building.

Cons:

Not a criticism only thing we would love to see if we came back would be a bad snacks menu as well as drinks but we couldn't fault our stay.

Lovely stay in central location
Pros:

I was expecting it would not be in mint condition, and the whole hotel had amazing charm, so did the room.
It felt beautiful to be in such a historic buidling. The bed was comfy. Staff was amazing, breakfast was good too.

Cons:

There was no fan, so if you are not a fan (haha) of AC, it got very hot in the room. Fan would be amazing. Also my room was facing the road, so it was quite noisy, but I was expecting that. And the view was amazing.
But I did not realize it would get so hot, and opening windows would not help.

Wonderful Stay in an Atmospheric Hotel.
Pros:

The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Rooms were clean and comfortable.
I need gluten free food and the head chef adjusted the special Valentine’s Day menu to make it all gluten free for me.
The hotel is in an excellent location for Kandy sightseeing.
