Hotel Christina

it is a nice warm small hotel on the beach of Tolo. ALthough it was not a season to swim but i loved the quitemess and the area surrounding Tolo.

One of few hotels open all year. Out of season it would be very good for affordable long stay - and even better if could obtain real Greek food within the hotel at least on some days(chef serves wonderful omelettes at breakfast). Here fluent English is combined with true Greek hospitality. The bathroom may be somewhat outdated and is large enough for a better design; but it is clean and there is always hot water.Bus to Napflion stops outside the door.I wished I'd booked to stay for longer.

We stayed in the quite season and Instantly connected with our host Tom straight away! He made us really feel at home, tool time to explain the bus schedule and what we could use around the hotel. As it was quite he even offered to drive us to town and explained places to see.

The views are incredible. Get the sea view room!

Die Zimmer sind einfach eingerichtet, aber sauber. Die Angestellten waren sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Wir haben ein Zimmer ohne Seesicht gebucht und haben aber eines mit Seesicht erhalten. Alles in allem waren wir zufrieden mit dem Hotel.

La salle de bain était minuscule et mal conçu. La toilette était coincée entre le lavabo et la douche.
Les tables de la terrasse ou nous prenions le petit déjeuné n'était jamais nettoyé ( toujours pleine de sable).
Personnel plutôt indifférent.
La chambre était tranquille. Le seul point positif était la magnifique vue sur la mer.

There was an administrative mixup with our reservation, but the staff did not hesitate and took care of it right away and treated us very well.

While not a high end hotel, for a traveler on a budget it is great. Staff was wonderful, rooms were clean, and right on the water.

Abbiamo soggiornato in questo hotel due notti per visitare Nauplio ed Epidauro. L'albergo si trova in un centro balneare a circa 10 km da Nauplio. All'arrivo alla reception c'era un ragazzo troppo occupato con il suo videogame per darci un minimo di assistenza. Abbiamo trovato la camera veramente scadente, letti da fare con le lenzuola ripiegate sul fondo, un comodino inutilizzabile che pendeva dal muro, il frigobar appoggiato su un tavolino traballante, le condizioni del bagno molto discutibili. In generale le condizioni della camera sono evidentemente rimaste immutate da molti decenni, con infissi, arredi e servizi igienici completamente da rifare. Al secondo giorno abbiamo trovato i letti da rifare ed abbiamo dovuto provvedere noi.
Uniche note positive la gentilezza del titolare ed il fatto che l'albergo si trovi direttamente sul mare.

Einfaches Hotel, das sicher etwas renoviert werden müsste. Aber super freundlich und familiär, einfach unkompliziert. Das Beste, der Strand ist direkt vor dem Zimmer. Für den Preis unglaublich toll. Schräg gegen über ist ein geiales Restaurant: Georgias Kitchen, preisgünstig und super lecker :-))

Φτάνοντας στο ξενοδοχείο με ενημερωσαν ότι δεν υπήρχε κρατηση στο όνομά μου αλλά και ότι δεν είχαν δωμάτιο κενο! Αισχος!

Attention ne prends pas les cartes bancaires....

Nous savions que ce n'allait pas être un hôtel de luxe mais il s'agissait bien d'un hôtel bas de gamme, vieillissant, sans charme et qui brasse du touriste. Le petit déjeuner avait un choix réduit et ne semblait pas très frais.
Finalement la chambre donnant sur la rue était tres mal insonorisée, (on se serait cru dans la rue) sans compter la clim extrêmement bruyante.

As if obviously happens in many cases in Greece, suddenly the hotel can't take cards and you have to find ATM's to get sufficient cash to pay. I find this unacceptable as it always ends with running from ATM to ATM to get enough cash out at the last day/morning. Seems more like the real situation is the hotel want the cash and don't want to pay the cost of the cards services.

Hotel did not have reservation from you. They gave us superior room and honoured lower price we had in our reservation with you. Beachfront with incredible terrace and views. Kind staff. Breakfast was great.

Negative aspects: Worn-down look of hotel, leaking water from the toilet, shower curtain that contained no water, cupboard dampness and smell, frayed towels, smelly air-conditioner, basic quality breakfast, demand for cash payment at check-out (no credit/cash cards- this is illegal in Greece).

Positive aspects: friendly beach bar staff and cleaning lady, hotel is on the beach (you could take the elevator from your room floor and go straight down to the beach bar). Free WiFi. Too expensive for services provided.

I spend a few weeks in Tolo Beach every year. Chistina hotel is the best hotel in Tolo, considering its location on the sandy beach, balcony beach view, price, service and best of all its owner Thanasis.

The owner/manager was friendly and helpful. While the bathroom was small and the room was ok, the location makes up for any of these shortcomings. The price was fair for the accommodations and was a bargain given the location.
