Staff is snob.

My wife and I booked four nights at the Grand Bretagne and it fully lived up to expectations. The hotel has an unrivalled location on Filellinon Square. We had a beautiful room with balcony overlooking the Bourtzi. Lovely public areas including a wonderful bar area. The entire hotel is spotlessly clean and the staff friendly and helpful. We had dinner on the terrace on two occasions. The food and service were both excellent and very good value. Thank you to all the staff at the Grand Bretagne. We will be back again next year

We loved this property! It's right in the harbor with excellent views of the boats and the sea. The pictures do not do this place justice. It's so gorgeous and classic inside! You feel like you are in a luxury hotel from 100 years ago, with beautiful wood furnishings, elegant furniture, etc. I 100% intend to return and could not recommend this place more.

Beautiful hotel in Old Town

Very grande hotel at heart of Nafplio within walking of restaurants, shopping and historical district! Wonderful!

The whole experience was excellent. The only reason I gave it 4 stars (good) and not 5 stars is the disappointing breakfast.

Eggs and omelettes were cold
Pastries were chewy and cold

Fantastic hotel. Personnel extremely professional. The best location in town

We went to this nice hotel for dinner at the terrasse. We were greeted with greek hospitality at its best and we had sublime dinner and some very good wine. The atmophere was very relaxed evne though the terrasse is just bext to the harbour. We’ll come back next time we go to Nafplio.

This is positioned on the port front of the old town (great for many eateries). Much upgraded over the years. Check in and out was straightforward and politely efficient. Our room in the roofspace was exceedingly large. Very clean for our stay. Large comfortable bed. Amazingly good A/C machine and quiet. Very good WiFi coverage. Breakfast was excellent with a large choice with some hot dishes.
Our only minor concern was the level of room lighting with obviously power saving bulbs.
One note - there is no hotel car parking. There is free parking on the dock side of the road BUT it is very busy so you may have to circulate a bit.

I had a wonderful experience at this hotel. It would be even better if there was a pool available, but overall, it is in a great location and is a beautiful and clean hotel. The breakfast buffet offers a variety of great options, and the staff is very friendly. The only downside was that the air conditioning in the room was not working properly and did not cool the room down, so we had to sleep with the windows open.

We loved the beauty of the hotel. Its amazing breakfast.
The room was not up-kept. Wallpaper pealing off. The ceiling was not repaired(painted)
The bath facilities are out dated, window in shower area was rotten and should be renovated.
Overall a beautiful stay and recommend it,

We spent lovely days at Grande Bretagne and enjoyed our stay very much.
Lovely peaceful hotel in the heart of the charming old town of Nafplio. Hotel is close to everything: main sights, restaurants, shops. Very comfortable and clean room with the sea view and Bourtzi castle, delicious breakfast. The staff are very friendly, always ready to help you.
Looking forward to stay here again.
