the property is uniquely positioned at the top of a very steep access road that requires either modern transportation or a good fitness level. Once inside you discover there's a lift only from the first floor upward. Had a bit of a faff with front office staff about the fridge not working. If you end up on the back rooms, barking dogs will make you company from 4am. Tried the restaurant and it was eye watering expensive for 4 rice and curry. the day was saved by the manager who took over from the front desk staff and by the humble always smiling porter who is there waiting to carry away your luggage

Hyggelig sted, fin bar, veldig rent.

A short walk but up a very steep hill makes this little hotel a perfect quiet location out of central Kandy. The pool is small and it looks like some building or refurbishment is going on though we never saw men at work. The bar is basic. The higher floor rooms (which are lovely) and dining room offer great views and breakfast was excellent.

We paid £200 for 2 nights in this hotel, for Sri Lanka you would expect the best for this kind of money. Whilst the room was nice we were greeted to the loudest construction work right above our head, we complained and had to wait an hour and a half before we were told the work would stop and not continue. We complained several times about no hot water or internet which we heard other tennats also
Complain about also. The breakfast and food is absoloutley shocking and no sri lankan cusine is even on th menu. combined with the above left us completley let down and dissapointed with this hotel. The hotel staff were polite however we struggled to communicate with a single
Member of staff which was frustrating under the circumstance.

This hotel has potential to be better however untill then i would not recomend anyone stay in such an overpriced shambles

Hotel is on a hill. little bit difficult to reach than average and a bit away from the city centre. Hotel itself is decent. Price range is also in higher category. At departure we had to pay premium price for a towel that had some washable hair dye stains in it. This did spoil our stay a bit because as said price rang for the hotel is higher than average.

Our money was debited from the account and then we were emailed telling us that there was no room available. We are yet to receive our money back. Very disappointing

Stayed for two nights having booked late. Location is up a hill near the very large Buddha in Kandy. About 5 minutes from centre by tuk tuk Views are excellent front the elevated position. In a renovated room on third floor which was very nice and great vibe. Be advised that the hotel appears to be going through extensive renovations with the obvious implications. Staff are very good and helpful. Be great once finished as it obviously was when first built.

Få et værelse med terrasse. Maden er dog ikke speciel god så spis ude om aftenen. Morgenmaden er ok

Place was clean, staff friendly. A climb to get to the hotel. Great food offerings. A little far from sights.

Wir wurden leider nicht darüber informiert, dass in dem Hotel zur Zeit große Umbauarbeiten stattfinden. Die Bauarbeiten hatten zur Folge, dass wir den gebuchten Balkon nicht nutzen konnten, da dort Bauarbeiter ihre Materialien zugesägt haben. Der Baulärm hat morgens um 8.00 Uhr begonnen und ging bis abends spät. Das Hotel ist schon in die Jahre gekommen und eine Renovierung ist notwendig, aber man kann nicht die Zimmer zum normalen Preis vermieten und dann eine Baustelle zur Verfügung stellen. Außerdem funktionierten die Geruchsverschlüsse im Badezimmer nicht, dass heißt dort roch es stark nach Kloake. Die Lösung ein Raumspray zu benutzen, war für uns unbefriedigend.
Die Lage des Hotels ist sehr schön, da man einen tollen Blick über Kandy hat. Den ursprünglich kolonialen Charme kann man noch in einigen Teilen des Hotels erkennen, dies ist ganz charmant. Das Servicepersonal ist sehr nett, das Management unflexibel.

Nice hotel with beautiful surroundings. Bit off the beaten track from Kandy, need a car or tuk tuk to get to town. Accommodation good food just OK.

After a tiring day travelling and sightseeing The Swiss Residence was a welcome relief. Perched on the hill overlooking Kandy the view was fabulous. After a dip in the pool we sat on the terrace with a cold drink and watched the sun set, truly magical.

　ドアノブの鍵がしょぼいので、少し不安な感じ。
　うっかりミスで、ウエルカムドリンクをぶちまけられたり。
　フロントの係りの中には融通の利かない人もいたり。
　上層階になると、シャワーの出が悪い。
　料金的には、納得できる程度のサービスかな。

Nice hotel and good service. We enjoyed our stay for one day.
