Really solid overall
Pros:

Walking distance to just about anything/everything in Amsterdam

Cons:

Noise levels can be a bit much at times, but not bad for heavy sleepers

Great location, even better staff
Pros:

The location - it’s in a lovely neighbourhood. The staff were fabulous. Especially a lady called Katie, she went above & beyond to even give us a tour of the rooms & cater to all our needs. She knew our order of hot drinks each morning before we even said it. One of the other ladies carried all our drinks up to our rooms. The staff were really personable.

Cons:

There were so much stairs to get to our room on the top floor & the stairs is very narrow. There’s no lift so it was a bit of a struggle going up & down. Also there’s no fridge in the rooms. Besides that, it was lovely.

de douchslang was kapot en de airco/ventilatie maakt veel lawaai. Verder is het aan te bevelen om een koelkastje te hebben op de kamer.

Overall we had a really enjoyable stay and first time in Amsterdam.
Pros:

The location was great, the bar and restaurant downstairs were nice. Great food and coffee. The staff were helpful, warm and knowledgeable and the hotel was very clean and loved the character.

Cons:

In the 1st room we stayed with 3 people there wasn’t a comfortable spot for all 3 to sit in the downstairs area like a small couch or something. Also there was no phone to call for room service and a small bar fridge would all be super helpful and convenient.

A touch of luxury for a reasonable price
Pros:

Lovely Staff, beautiful hotel - felt very luxurious, lots of free treats including cakes from Salvos. Comfy beds and great shower. Food was excellent too.

Cons:

Food service was a bit slow so not great if you are in a rush but it was very high quality so worth the wait

The coziest and most welcoming stay! Would highly recommend!
Pros:

What a beautiful hotel with the most friendly and welcoming staff. We stayed in the comfy one and it certainly was! The stand alone bath was such a lovely surprise! We can’t wait to hopefully return!

Cons:

It was unfortunate that the restaurant was under a remodel during our visit however we were given plenty of notice and options for alternatives so when we return we are excited to try the new restaurant.

Sleepless night
Cons:

No breakfast as breakfast room being refurbished. Fire alarm went off late at night as the workmen triggered it (out of bed in PJs and down the steep stairs). No apologies. Hotel is on an exceptionally busy street with a lot of noise coming into the room. Room a maissonette with very steep small stair to get down/up at night to get to bathroom

Fantastic hotel - would return again when we are in Amsterdam next

Fantastic location and the room was lovely - spacious and with great interiors. Breakfast in the room was excellent. The staff at reception were so kind and welcoming. We really enjoyed our stay there.
