Wonderful if you are interested in wellness pursuits
We had room 115, it was very dark semi basement type room, we had a small backyard but it looked like an unfinished construction site. Definitely not a room to sit outside and enjoy the view. Good deep swimming pool on the property though. The building needs a touch up.
This hotel is a hidden gem with rooms that literally walk out to the huge pool. The outside decks and furniture could use an upgrade but the rooms are beautiful and comfortable. The staff was friendly but they forgot to tell us that we could order food the night before since regular dining was not open. We were there during the low season and practically had the place to ourselves. There is a sweet English style cafe around the corner.
The place is close to the airport and away from the city life. There's a laundromat nearby. The place seems to have history.
I ended up switching hotels as soon as I saw 2 rooms.
The driver was very kind and their English was extremely limited- which I understand.
I was not told to pay for the driver ahead of time and since my plane came in late, I had no way of exchanging currency. I was also told after calling several times that transportation was unavailable. They do struggle to communicate information.
I walked in and there was a very bad, moldy smell. I still tried to give it a chance. Then I walked in the room, smelled bad, very wet feel and there was a huge dead roach by the door. They offered me another room upstairs and I tried. A lizard crawled from under the bed to go under the closet.
I left immediately and went to another hotel. They did drive me to my new location.
I am working now to get a refund. Very, very kind staff however, the pictures do not give a true description of what you will see in person.
Sooo beautiful of a resort!!! The staff is incredible and they made me feel at home!!! I’ll be back again!!
Love it.
Nice
Outstanding customer service from the front desk and breakfast was always amazing.
I traveled with my family, the photos shown are a big lie. When I arrived the room looked like a torture room it had no electricity, the railings and the floor are unsafe. The lady at the reception was very gentle, but the place is nasty. They have a cat in the reception that was playing with two rat that came out of the buffet area. I definitely went to another hotel and cancelled. Expedia should not have that property for rent.
We had a great stay at the Chaya. In particular the staff were all very friendly and attentive. As for the room, it was very clean, spacious and kept to a high standard. We didn’t have breakfast and didn’t tour the local area so can’t comment, but for the pool and the room we would highly recommend this hotel. Short taxi away from the airport and the Old town and local enough for tours to collect us from the hotel.
Nice hotel for the price. A bit understaffed and under maintained.
Excellent place to stay for the price point.
Close to old city
A little noisy when planes departing, but the facilities and staff were great, good breakfast !!!
The property itself is nice and clean. The rooms are clean and spacious. There is a lot to do in the area if you’re willing to walk a bit. We walked about 30 mins from the hotel to the old town and wasn’t bad. Overall it was a pleasant stay and I will miss Chiang Mai. It’s a nice hotel in a convenient area if you don’t mind commuting a little.
Found a giant cockroach in the bathroom and stained sheets. Breakfast is overpriced.
Get the pool access room its so comfy and worth it. Staff is great.Sweetie will make your stay as perfect as possible
Very kind staff and established hotel in a quiet and quaint area of chiang mai. The bathroom was unconventional and water was leaking from the shower out onto the steps leading to the tub, but I can’t say it was that big of a deal to me.
Amazing room with swim up pool. Wasn’t to expensive. Amazing staff.
Spaces rooms and I love the patio doors that open up onto the deck and everything is walkable on all sides. You can go north and you can go south into the old city and there’s tons of restaurants all around and there is even a place to do your laundry at the end of the corner That is open 24 hours
