The location..the food was realy good in the bar and so was the cocktails..the staff was polite
It had no air conditioning
Sehr schönes Zimmer mit Meerblick, großes Bad mit Aussicht.
Sehr gutes Abendessen und sehr gutes Frühstück.
Had a spa day at Fistral hotel. Cost £250 for two people. Friendly staff. We each had an hour long massage and these were 10/10 SO GOOD. However, the actual spa facilities/ changing rooms were nice but dirty - there was a pile of empty cups/ bottles in the steam room, grit in the bottom of the hot tub, hair and bits all over the floor, the hair dryer in the women’s changing room also didn’t work and the sinks were not clean. The worst part was the afternoon tea though. It took ages to come out, and the whole thing tasted horrible. They charge £25 pp for this and it is not at all worth it. Three tiny warm & damp sandwiches, a tiny stone cold sliver of sausage roll. One of the scones had a long hair on it. The macarons were inedible, and the other 2 sweets extremely sickly. I would recommend the treatments, the spa would be lovely if it was a little cleaner, but skip the afternoon tea at all costs!
Nice hotel great
Location superb staff very helpful and friendly.
We had a meal in the restaurant portions slightly on the small side, good if you are watching your weight.
Staff helpful at front desk. Outside terrace view. Large room. Small indoor pool available. Location.
No table service outside. Had to use an app. Seemed like a standard supermarket frozen pizza sold inside bar, not great. Very small breakfast portions. Room not completely clean, found sweet on floor by window. No air-conditioning. Not curtain didn't cover window. Carpet grubby.
I booked one of the ‘best’ rooms and although my view from the room was exceptional, it was obvious the room hadn’t been deep cleaned for a number of months (maybe longer!). There was dust all along the skirting boards, the light switches were all smeared, the top of the radiator was very rusty, and looked like a cup of tea had been spilt down it, the door from the room to the bathroom was very dirty, the bottom of the net curtain in the bathroom was very dirty, as well as limescale/dirty around the plug hole in the bathroom. I always strip the bedding from the bed when zi leave and on doing so, it was apparent tea/coffee had been spilt on the mattress cover and had been left on the bed - you couldn’t miss it! I made my way down to Reception to report my findings, although the Receptionist was very apologetic, the only solution was for me to sit in the bar, whilst they got someone to clean the room, after travelling from London, I needs to rest, and suggested that it could be sorted out the next day whilst I was out, sadly this was not the case and the room was left like that until I left. I have reached out twice to the Manager via email, and have received no response- very unprofessional!
Just come back from a weekend trip at this hotel, I booked late on the Thursday to arrive on the Friday, I could of booked with booking.com but chose to go direct with the hotel in case we may of been upgraded, or received any other perks .. in this instance we overpaid by going direct with the hotel, our both rooms were at the back of the building overlooking what looked like run down chalets or staff accommodation, my father is in a wheelchair & partially sited, yet there are no ramps into this hotel, they do offer a disabled toilet and shower but wheelchair users can’t get to it ??? Like everyone else talks about, there are NO grab handles in the bathrooms for able bodies never mind disabled people, so my dad had to be pushed outside of the hotel and around the back ways where all the laundry places are and back into the hotel through back doors, wooden slippery decking in his nightclothes to use their disabled toilet & shower - it caused us no end of stress & upset when we were supposed to be enjoying a little break ????
My husband arrived ahead of us and waited for us in the bar area - he moved tables twice since the bar tables were dirty, when we arrived & sat down the window ledges & tables were filthy they hadn’t been polished for some time, wiped over maybe but remembers if people’s food still visible YUK
The cleaning in the room is hit and miss, one of our rooms had a bad smell of dirty feet, we got a spray from reception, we left the windows open the whole time, it was gross, we couldn’t shift it, so much so we pretty much used the one room for the 3 of us despite paying for 2,
Staff were friendly in all departments, Daniel gave us 2 complimentary spa bags which was kind of him, Natalie was amazing in the spa I enjoyed my massage with her she was brilliant, Kwan was amazing she helped me with the electric charging point, she assisted me with apps and was super courteous and kind whenever we saw her, it’s not the staffs fault that the hotel falls short, fixtures and fittings,
We couldn’t book in for dinner on both nights since the restaurant was full, we headed over to hotel NICI for lunch which was amazing and similar money to stay, beautifully refurbished stunning upmarket hotel,
We went to the Headland hotel for dinner on both nights of our stay, we just wasn’t delighted by anything at the Fistral apart from the view but we live on the seaside so we didn’t travel for that reason, such a shame we left feeling a bit let down really, you don’t mind over paying if it’s honestly worth it,
Everything, delicious food.
Comfy bed, friendly staff, nice selection for breakfast
Shame that the spa area doesn't have much space to chill around area.
Staff were extremely friendly and helpful
Nothing negative to say
Location and views were amazing .
