All staff were extremely nice and helpful.
Curbside check in was a bit tricky
Very clean and customer service was great.
I do not recommend the corner King suite. You can hear all the activities on the block. It is bad when you come into the suite and they have earplugs for you to sleep on the desk with a note.
Amazing location. Recommend river view.
Quiet , clean and perfect location.
Loved our first trip to Chicago and the stay at LondonHouse hotel. Ideally situated at corner of East Wacker and Michigan Avenue, so can walk to most of the sites or if going further afield use the nearby L or buses. Room 934 had a super comfy king size bed and a great view from the bathroom. Room was spacious and modern bathroom. Only 2 small niggles, on first morning woke up to a layer of dust over everything. Must have come through ventilation system perhaps related to thunder storm during the night. Well cleaned in the morning and never happened again so must have been a freak event. The other niggle and may have been location of the room overlooking Michigan Avenue was the car noise/sirens at night. Must be a known issue as there was a note with complimentary ear plugs in the room. I am a heavy sleeper so once asleep wasn't an issue for me but something to be aware of if noise sensitive at that side of the hotel. Staff were all a delight from front of house, to the barman in the lobby bar and the housekeeping staff. Destination elevators worked well except once where didn't stop at our floor. Judging by the queue for the rooftop bar most evenings, its a cool spot to hang out in. Overall great hotel, lovely room in a fantastic location for tourists and super staff. Definitely recommend
everything honestly
the rooftop bar, the way it was advertised online it looked like it was a nice casual experience. We got there and all the seating was roped off for vip. It would have been nice for that to be relayed in the website.
I had my proposal here and Manny and Lindsay were excellent and made it very easy for me. I would highly recommend.
Les lits étaient trop petits pour 2 personnes
Tengo 6 años viniendo a este hotel en ocasiones más de una vez al año y siempre es de lo mejor en servicio
Todo es increíble
Nice elegant
Street noise!
The hotel was beautiful. The service was great. Everything was just right. I came in town to visit a friend who's been under the weather. I want to give a special thank you to Allen. He was the bellman/ concierge, and he just took care of me every time I came up or down and needed water or some information about the city, he was always there with a smile. I appreciate Allen's helpful nature, he's definitely an asset to the London House!
We had an amazing experience at LondonHouse! I proposed there, and everything went perfectly. The setting was beautiful, the atmosphere was wonderful, and everyone in our group had such a great time. It made this special moment even more memorable. Highly recommended for a celebration or special occasion!
Amazing all around experience at LondonHouse! Manny and Lindsay made the entire experience seamless. They communicated promptly, answered all questions, and covered everything to make our experience for the best it could be.
I’m in sales and travel quite a bit. Normal bookings for me is usually with hotels.com
My two girlfriends and I decided to book for he London house chicago. The reason I booked through trip advisor is because I saw two beds ( referred to as double beds) . In the picture advertised. Paid about$ 690 for one night.
Once we got to the hotel, they advised that they do not have two beds booked but a double bed ( king size bed) no other rooms available. I called trip advisor and the gentleman confirmed that I booked two beds.
After holding till he spoke to the Middle man company that handled the booking , he came back and told me he made a mistake and that I booked a double bed. ( king ) . They could not do anything nor could the hotel. We did not want to ruin the weekend so we took the room. Once in the room he noticed it as an accessible room, so in the end . Hotel was nothing special at all. Didn’t look like the pics ,
Paid an outrageous amount for the worst room and no one can could do anything! ( btw the hotel showed us the booking where trip advisor was charged $350.
Not using trip advisor again! They can not do anything for you! By the way parking was 80 with another “25 traveller fee”
Nice old school feel to the hotel. Great location. Noisy all night long due to location but that didn’t bother us. The bed is perfect for sore backs and they have usb chargers which is always nice.
However, employees at the hotel freely shared our information with scammers. They admitted that they shared our information with someone who claimed to be housekeeping and they told this stranger what we had ordered a few minutes before, what room we were in, and our names. The scammer person called our room directly to check if our exact order arrived, our room number, and our name. They said they could not charge the card on file for the order due to a system error and asked for the card again. Thankfully I felt the call was suspicious and was able to block the card. Almost immediately “cleaning” charges started showing up.
The manager admitted what they did and took no responsibility except to say that he would retrain his staff.
Recommend staying somewhere else if you don’t want to have to worry about a hotel employee sharing your personal information with anyone who calls their front desk.
We absolutely would highly recommend this hotel: staff is so friendly, clean and accommodating... from the minute you arrive, the doorman Fikret (who made coming back to the hotel, feel like home). Make sure you say hello to Fikret when you arrive. 👋
Great location for sightseeing. We had a room with a great view of the river. Comfortable bed but no dresser, drawers under the bed not suitable for seniors. Lighting need improvement but housekeeping and service were excellent.
Excellent hotel, centrally located by the Chicago River. Rooms clean, well equipped and comfortable. Good WiFi. Street location noisy at times - hotel issued free ear plugs. Advise high floor.
4 rather than 5 star due to checkin. We were advised of a 25$ per day ‘destination charge’ Initially I assumed this was a city tax. But it’s a hotel charge. Parts of this could be offset against food or laundry but could not be rolled from on day to day - it all had to be used on the day. It’s a relatively small amount but irritating- if the hotel requires more cash it should just increase the room charge. Also logging on to WiFi as a Hilton Honours member had to involve calls to reception for a special code as I’d not booked direct with Hilton. All a bit annoying!
