Angela Hotel and Apartments

The swimming pool and overall cleanliness of this hotel is great. Breakfast was fine and it was nice to have it included.
However, i would not recommend this hotel. It is on a very busy main road and the front entrance is in a layby to a petrol station. There is no walking path out the front to gouvia town, and it seems very unsafe as the cars drive very fast.
The balcony was not nice to sit on due to road noise and view of the petrol station. The experience was not relaxing. I wanted to keep the door shut all the time due to the traffic noise.
The aircon is capped at 24 degrees and you cannot make it lower.
I did ask for my aircon to be looked at as it leaked water and asked if other rokms were avaliable (further away from road) but they did not seem to happy to help.
There are more hotels/apartments the other side of the road for a similar price.

La colazione buona a buffet ma servita e questo
Provocava fila e disagio.

We stayed in a studio apartment. It was regular size, maintained, retro style with outdated furniture but tidy and functional (substandard double bed 155 x 190 cm). Bathroom is refurbished but missing towel hooks near very slippery walk-in shower, caution advised. Also, it has a motion sensor lightning programmed which is not convenient for No. 2 or night visit. The main inconvenience is a low or no WI FI signal in the apartment. Signal is better in hotel public areas (front desk, restaurant). Breakfast is simple but ok, served not a buffet. Restaurant menu has 4-5 main dishes and salads, but it was tasty and average priced. Property grounds are very well maintained. Seasonal pool is not heated but pleasant and there is no inside pool. Hotel is on a very heavy traffic road with no sidewalks.
Check-in and check-out were easy, transfer from and to airport organized for a surcharge of 35 euro. Staff is friendly and answers all inquiries, but you must ask everything and be very specific.
For example, when booking I asked for an airport transfer with 1 child seat since we travel with a toddler. Taxi with a child seat came to an airport. I asked the same transfer back from the hotel but did not emphasize a child seat, presuming the child seat was implied. The same taxi driver came with no child seat because he was not told so by hotel stuff. I was very disappointed. In my country driving toddler without child seat is illegal, but as the owner said “It is only a 2 stars hotel”.

Super helpful and very friendly owner. Will definitely use again and highly recommended.

Un buon hotel, Gouvia raggiungibile a piedi (citta e spiaggia), a venti minuti da Corfù. Personale gentile ed accogliente. Unica pecca, sarebbe stato comodo averenqualche soazio in più per appoggiare cose in camera.
Nel complesso, ottimo soggiorno.

Super good hotel for the price. The hotel is clean and tidy but not flashy - and neither is the price.

The hotel is close to a small town but larger selection of restaurants, bars, supermarkets (small), car and boat rentals. There is also a beach (stone) close by.

The hotel has a nice quiet pool area, with free sunbeds.

Every morning a good buffet (covid-19 ratio) is served with a larger selection of food and accessories.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff, there care about there guest, they will do everything to make your holiday a great one - it's almost the best thing about the hotel

Struttura parte Hotel con bagni rifatti da poco, box doccia con vetro e non la solita tenda. Pulizia impeccabile e personale gentilissimo soprattutto i proprietari, sempre disponibili per ogni richiesta e informazioni.

Eigenlijk was alles goed behalve de airco, die had instelbaar mogen zijn. Hij deed het wel uiteraard alleen voor mijn vrouw bleef het nog net iets te warm. Buiten dat was het personeel uiterst vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Dankzij hun hebben we heel veel van het eiland kunnen zien en ervaren. De kamer was goed schoon en de douche was heerlijk! Wel iets aan de kleine kant maar dat is niet zo heel belangrijk.
Ook was het een klein minpuntje dat niet iedere kamer tweepersoonsbedden heeft waardoor je een heel tafereel moet uithalen wil je ook maar een beetje bij elkaar kunnen liggen.

Al met al zeker een aanrader voor een goede prijs!

Everything was great. The owner, her mom and the housekeeper welcomed us warmly. They were very friendly. There was a peaceful atmosphere. We ate homemde jam which was really so delicious. The decoration of the rooms were old fashioned but they were very clean. We liked the hotel. We can stay there again. Thank you..

A good value hotel just on the edge of Gouvia with a nice pool and decent breakfast. The bed was comfy but being an old building by the side of the road it was quite noisy.

Necesita muchas mejoras en instalaciones y mobiliario. Camas incómodas. Aire acondicionado no funciona correctamente. Lo mejor, la piscina.

Great stay at this family hotel. Amazing pool, bar and home made breakfast.

Most of the owners were very friendly, the room was clear but the hotel was old and only the bath was renewed. Away from the beach. Need definitely a car. The pool was also clear. The breakfast was very poor.

Very basic accommodation and very dated. Family run hotel who were really lovely and very conscientious.

My first impression of the are was not the best. As was litter all over the place and smell of bins on the road.
When entering the hotel was a different story, the owners were very welcoming and helpful, food purchased In-house was great and the pool was spotless clean.
The family running the business are guest oriented and attention to detail in service.
We stayed on a bedroom apt and it did the job, older furniture but fine. Shower was a bit of a let down running hot and cold water and burning your skin occasionally and nowhere to hang the shower head . Room Was comfy clean and air-conditioned . There is grocery stores close by. Wifi In the public areas but not in the rooms.
