Die Gesamtanlage ist mit den einzelnen liebevoll eingerichteten Häusern, dem tropischen Garten mit Teichen, Skulpturen und Pool herausragend. Die Gastgeber/innen sind unglaublich freundlich, zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Wir haben uns schnell Zuhause gefühlt. Das thailändische Essen war sehr gut und die Möglichkeiten zu Ausflügen in der Umgebung vielfältig. Wir können den Secret Garden nur empfehlen!

The Secret Garden is an absolute joy. It is a lovely place to stay being closer to nature and it has a peaceful and very relaxing atmosphere. The Thai food there is, in my opinion, some of the best I've had in Thailand and you can watch Pai in the kitchen cooking. Everyone is so considerate of you and I feel beautifully looked after when I am there. I couldn't recommend it more highly.

A wonderful stay at the Secret Garden in Chiang Mai. The setting was beautiful and the accomodations were perfect. The hospitality shown by the entire staff made you feel right at home. Isabel went out of her way to make sure you my son and I felt comfortable and that we could get to and from. Isabel met us from the bus and made sure we made it on time to our plane very early in the morning. The food was amazing as were the gardens which allowed us to relax and enjoy. We were able to take in a great day of exotic fishing, tour the markets and see the lovely town. We ran into some problems with our flight arrangements and Isabel was so kind to help my wife back home in the states get everything worked out and get us on our way. We hope to come back some day and the Secret Gardens will be one of our stops. This is a very hard working family and it shows by how caring they are towards their guests and how they care for home. We would recommend the Secret Garden to anyone staying in Chiang Mai. Thank you Isabel, Peter and Pai

Highly recommend this place. Isabel is awesome and Pai's food is amazing. The garden is absolutely beautiful.

We stayed at the Secret Garden for 6 days and had the most amazing experience there thanks to the hospitality and generosity of the owners Peter, Pai and Isabel. Even though the hotel is a little ways out of Chiang Mai, they always made sure we had a ride to town. Isabel contacted us before our arrival to arrange for a pick-up from the train station and it was great to have a ride waiting for us when we arrived.
We stayed at the Family villa and it was spacious and private with a large veranda overlooking the beautiful countryside. There was plenty of room for us and our two kids. We felt safe allowing the kids to roam around the resort as it felt like at home.
The most generous breakfast was provided every morning prepared by Pai, Isabel and their helpers. Each evening they also prepared delicious Thai dinners that we all very much enjoyed. In fact, we stayed at the resort for dinner every evening just to find out the next dish that Pai was going to serve. She also allowed guests into the kitchen to watch her cooking and our 11 year old son got to participate hands on in the cooking process!
Isabel was very helpful to give us advice on local events and things to do and she always anticipated our every need. We have not received this kind of care and attention from any other place we have stayed at during our trip to Thailand.
We would certainly recommend this place to anyone!

Secret garden is a family run group of small bungalows.
They are in a suburb outside ChiangMai and easily reached by a hotel shuttle and a small trip on a local white truck bus at 15b or a red taxi truck at 300 to 400b arranged by the hotel.
The bungalow we stayed in was spacious,clean and very cool due to the beautiful planted grounds.
The breakfast is a freshly prepared continental style breakfast offering bacon eggs sausage cheese cold meats etc and the buffet thai dinner is amazing and you can watch it being prepared.
The staff are lovely and Isabel is so helpful and kind, helping with anything she can. She lokes to contact you before your visit to arrange transfer and any other issues.
I can’t recommend the Secret Garden enough.

The Secret Garden is a very special place. It is a rural setting, close to a small Thai village. We stayed in one of the family houses. It was like a home away from home. A very relaxing setting with our own veranda looking out upon the rice fields. The owners go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The meals are a true highlight. Prepared fresh each day. Delicious and nutritious Thai cuisine. For exploring the area, there are bicycles and motorcycles. Highly recommend the Secret Garden.

Was a beautiful B&B. A bit out of town but the location was beautiful. Great staff and fantastic food. The owners were more than accommodating. We were very comfortable.

The stay was perfect. Great food, quiet and good a/c. Surrounded by rice fields. The staff could’t do more to meet your needs!

Secret Garden offers a beautiful environment with friendly staff, cozy bungalos, and truly amazing food. Peter, Isabel, and Pai are truly the most gracious hosts you can imagine. They helped endlessly with our travels and prepared an over-the-top breakfast and dinner each day. Guests are even encouraged to help Pai cook your authentic Thai meals. Our children had plenty of room to play and explore, ride bikes, swim, and play on the playground. I would encourage anyone visiting Chiang Mai area to stay here... we certainly look forward to coming back!

This is by far the best place to stay in the Chiang Mai area. Yes it's a little out of the way. However, the place is amazing and the staff really go out of the way to help and feed you. We called the day before we were coming and Peter came and picked us up from the airport. Return trip is also included. Pai's cooking is also some of the best I've had while in Thailand. If you are looking to stay around in Chiang Mai, this is the place.

I rarely write reviews, but our experience at the Secret Garden calls for the exception.
If you are looking for your peaceful hideaway, nestled between lush rice paddies (think Ubud in Bali), with the chant of birds during the day and the croaking of the frogs at night, all while enjoying the comfort of your own bungalow, then the Secret Garden is your place to be.
The German/Thai owners are extremely helpful and nice people, who will fall over themselves to attend to your wishes and inquiries. Breakfast and dinner are buffet style and will make you long for more.
If you don’t mind commuting by public transport the 30-45 minutes each way between Chiang Mai and the Garden (we came by car rental and this wasn’t an issue), then this place will surely rank somewhere at the top of your stays in Thailand.

This place truly is a Secret Garden. Lush pathways intertwining with trees, plants all around, ponds, flowers, and bungalows blending in perfectly with this gorgeous and tranquil place. Best of all was the hospitality of the owners Peter, Pai and Isabel who made our stay so welcoming and warm. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Children will love exploring the grounds...
