A partir daí, vieram contradições, grosserias e gritos, tornando a estadia extremamente estressante.

WARNING: DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL
I was the victim of an unauthorized charge of US$ 400 on my credit card, made by the hotel itself, which was never refunded.
Right after making my reservation, I noticed on my statement that the amount had been charged. When I contacted Booking, I was told the hotel claimed it was a tax charged in Argentina.
Upon arrival, I spoke with Patricia, who explained about this so-called Argentine tax. In addition, she said there would be another extra cost because my one-year-old baby (who sleeps in my bed and is breastfed) was not included in the reservation, and she would charge 160,000 pesos for 3 nights. Even though I thought it was absurd, I agreed.
Later, I researched and found out that this “US$ 400 tax” only applies to Argentine guests — as I am Brazilian and paid with an international card, I should not have been charged. When I confronted Patricia, she changed her story, saying she would charge US$ 200 per day (R$ 1,000/day) for the baby, and claimed she “didn’t know” the tax was only for Argentines because she had only been working there for six months. LIE! There are reviews mentioning her rudeness dating back three years.
When I questioned the new baby rate (since at check-in she had quoted a different amount), she replied that she “had no authority” and that the manager was in Buenos Aires. From there, it was a sequence of contradictions, lies, rude behavior, and shouting — making our stay extremely stressful.
I spoke with Booking several times, but they informed me the hotel is the one that processes the payment and decides the amount — meaning there was nothing they could do.
In short: they tried to charge me an illegitimate fee, and when I questioned it, they imposed an abusive daily rate for a baby.

Beautiful views, friendly staff.
The place is gorgeous, and all the kudos to the gardner, the territory literally drowned in flowers. The lake bank is just one minute walk and there is a nice tree house for kids.
During our stay with Costa Brava Apart Hotel and Suits, we faced some issues that we did not expect to find in otherwise a nice place. However, some things were nasty and one even outrageous.
As for the issues that caused certain questions and discomfort:
Before we even start - the host's page on booking.com says they speak both English and Spanish. No way! Don't speak Spanish? Your problem!
1)Large construction site on the territory - not cool. This is something you would expect to be notified about before you are booking an apartment. There will be a bar and a restaurant, but not yet. Construction instead. You can get a coffee in a vending machine.
2) Significant amount of kitchenware was out of order and/or uncomfortable to use:
-pan not suitable for frying without food stucking to it
-broken cooking spoon
-baking tray not suiting the oven sizewise - the oven door simply didn't close.
-gas stove handles getting burning hot during cooking
-a meat frying pan with a thick layer of fat and dust
- when we switched the kitchen hood system on, the shaking was so strong that some dishes fell from the open shelves above our heads right on the floor - it was a pure luck our one year old daughter was not crawling there.
3) pool is nice, but full of dead flies - swimming in the flies soup.
The worst impression however was from a woman who was supposed to welcome guests and take care of their needs. Didn't speak English, was not welcome, rather cold as ice if we speak of the attitude. We communicated through whatsapp, she cherry picked which messages to answer. Pay attention - you'll have to pay 30 dollars for the dish washing in the end! Ready to pay yourself? No way, still pay! As though it was not enough, in the end she called us "barbarians". Little can be added to these words from a person who is the face of the hospitality sector.
Extremely disrespectful treatment by manager
We had a welcome from hosts Patricia, Manuel and Froppy (?) the dog ☺️ The apartment was super clean and very spacious with a wonderful view over the lake! and a lovely terrace to relax on.
The kitchen could have a few more pots and pans. The pool area was run down and not very comfortable but they are renovating so maybe this will change in the future.
