Not really what it promises.
Pros:

The view is really what this place is good for

Cons:

It's not really mature to receive international guests. Location is good for the view but itherwise only reachable by taxi. The seamingly shor distance to the trainb station i not feasible with oiggage due to steep incline. No response to shuttle request.

Ne nous convient pas entièrement
Pros:

La vue sur Nagasaki était l'atout essentiel, depuis la salle du petit-déjeuner ou le café/lobby … L'accès au bain public est évidemment un plus appréciable. Nous avons apprécié de pouvoir changer de chambre à notre arrivée, la nôtre était trop proche de l'accueil et donc bruyante. La taille de la chambre était bonne.
La qualité du kaiseki servi au restaurant est excellente, le personnel très attentif et sympathique

Cons:

L'hôtel est situé très en hauteur, plus de 400 marches, et donc pour nous trop loin du centre-ville sans restaurants autour. Ensuite le placard de la chambre était inutilisable car trop haut (manque une échelle) et sans éclairage : c'est très étonnant. Pour finir, nous recommandons d'éviter absolument week-ends et vacances scolaires, c'est un très grand hôtel qui accueille aussi des groupes = la salle de petit-déjeuner devient vite désagréable.

Pros:

家族でも泊まれるほど十分広くリフォームされた室内は快適だった。仕事だったので観光などはしていませんが、こちらのホテルから長崎の夜景を楽しめとても良かったです。

The view!!! What a great spot
Pros:

The view! What a view! We had a twin room and it was lovely. Twin beds and two comfy rocking chairs overlooking the city was perfect. The rooms have been recently renovated and are nice. Plenty of lighting options and nice toilet and shower. The hotel itself also has a big( shared) bath, a lounge (with free snacks and drinks from 3-9 each day), a gift shop, a restaurant (need to book ahead) and a bookable open-air private bath on the roof (recommend that!).
We had one breakfast and one dinner. Both were Japanese style and lovely, with a selection of dishes. Breakfast is about ¥2000pp, and dinner is around ¥6000.
The staff are lovely. Not a lot of English, but we always try to use Japanese so we got by.
Location is on a hill. We drove up no problem and basically left the car there. There are plenty of steps for those who are able, or buses that can get you up and down. Not a lot within walking distance.

Cons:

Not really any dislikes. Here are some things for others to consider:
- sensor lights in the bathroom and genkan means that lights go on at night if you get up. Only a problem for light sleepers or those sensitive to light.
- is a pet-friendly hotel. We had a dog yapping at one stage when the owners were out so this surprised us. Again, probably a rarity.
