Loved sweet home hotel

Unique hotel with outstanding breakfast and service
Pros:

Fantastic hotel in very central location in Athens. Within easy walking distance from Syntagma Square, which has frequent bus and Metro transfers from the airport, this beautiful and unique hotel is tucked away in a quiet street. Staff were friendly and helpful, room was tastefully decorated, comfortable and immaculately clean. The breakfast buffet was exceptional with huge range of freshly prepared foods. We had 4 days in Athens and visited major attractions on foot. Lots of choice for eating / drinking very nearby. Reasonably priced. Highly recommend.

great location and service
Pros:

The Sweet Home Hotel was a great location for visiting the sites in Athens. So many places to eat and shop within walking distance. The staff at the hotel were very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was very good, lots of variety and fresh.
The rooms have very comfortable beds, very clean & we had a small balcony so nice for fresh air. Not a great view, you see the interior of another building. The parquet floor could use some work, it's uneven & separating in spots especially entering the bathroom. Our shower was very small stall, however our friends had larger showers. The rooms in the basic category are fairly small, we had a larger one but paid more. Just check the room type before you reserve.

Personal feel of hotel, great location
Pros:

Overall, my experience at Sweet Home Hotel was positive. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They seemed to care about our experience and wanting to make it a positive one. It was very quant, great location, and nicely decorated. My rating of a 4 instead of a 5 is due to the size of the room (it was very small and difficult to move through with luggage) and the breakfast offered wasn't as warm as I would have preferred. I appreciated the personal feel of this hotel and I would stay here again.

Very cosy though a little dated for the price

Great staff, breakfast and location!
Pros:

Communication from the hotel before our stay was excellent and they organised taxi transfers to/from the airport for us. They also provided late check-out to 2pm free of charge, which we really appreciated. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was great, with good variety, and they accommodated us a little earlier than their normal start time as we had an early walking tour planned. The location is good, although we were there only one night so didn't really get a chance to explore too much, however we were able to walk a little around the Plaka area and to the Acropolis with ease.

Cons:

Whilst the room was lovely with a comfortable bed and felt clean and tidy, the room itself was very small with the bed taking up much of the space. There was not much room to put luggage and we opened our luggage on the floor and had to navigate around it. OK given we were there for just one night (and the positives of the property outweigh this negative). The bathroom was also small and the shower was very tight, especially for my husband.
I would still recommend this property and I'm sure they would have bigger rooms.

Great location
Pros:

Awesome location! Within walking distance to all the attractions, bus and metro system. Hotel was clean and quiet. We had a view of the Acropolis from our balcony. It was gorgeously lit up at night. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast each morning was delicious with an abundant of choices. Great communication and directions given by email prior to our arrival with easy to follow instructions on how to travel to and locate the hotel from the airport. Easy bus transport from the airport (about an hour ride).

Good location for a short visit to Athens - close to all the main sights and restaurants

Breakfast was a reasonable selection - coffee not great and hot food was only warm.
