The location of the hotel is great - a short walk to the centre and to the Church. Most tours/buses pick-up and drop-off at Bus Stop 6, which is approx a 3 min walk from the hotel.
The reception staff were friendly and helpful. There are lots of areas to sit and relax, including a "cafe" area near reception, and a bar and lounge areas too. Great breakfast - plenty of choices from hot to continental options. Bed was very comfortable, good sized bathroom with walk-in shower, and the room had plenty of space for clothes. Coffee machine in the room, along with a small fridge.
They also have a roof terrace which is great if you want to search for the Northern Lights.
I did encounter significant difficulty with the entrance doors of the hotel due to my mobility needs. Trying to push one set of doors, then pull the next set while managing my suitcase and walking stick was a real struggle, and I found them quite heavy to push and pull too.
Automatic doors would have greatly improved accessibility. Alternatively, if the reception staff at the front desk were alert to guests struggling, they could offer assistance which would make a big difference, especially for those with mobility challenges.
This was the only disappointing aspect of my stay, and I hope you might consider this feedback for future improvements.
Another thing we didn't particularly like, and I accept this is probably personal preference, were the toiletries. Hand wash, hand cream, shampoo, conditioner and body wash were all Charcoal. We found this quite overpowering and left a lingering "bonfire" smell on body and clothes.
Buffet Breakfast was over the top!
Hotel is really nice and conveniently located
Breakfast needs improvement. It makes no sense to have packaged scramble eggs in a hotel of this quality. Also needs more healthy options
Great location, friendly staff, really nice breakfast
Window in room was broken so couldn’t close - was warm enough but there were lots of drunk people screaming and shouting on the street from about midnight to 3:30am which meant terrible sleep. Understand the hotel can’t help the drunks but they should have windows that can close. On this basis I would not recommend or stay in this hotel again. The rest of it was fantastic
The suite was very spacious and comfortable. Great breakfast. Hotel is ideally located
We were delayed by 24h due to the weather and the hotel refused to adjust the booking, telling us to claim on our insurance. While this is all within their right, a bit of flexibility and understanding would have been welcomed
Very nice, quaint, hotel in a great location.
Breakfast was delicious.
Well located, trendy, modern, good breakfast, kind staff.

Location is convenient
This was my fault for not reading up on this but there was no hotel parking. Luckily there was a garage across the street.
Great location, nicely appointed common areas and rooms, which are spacious and clean. Breakfast buffet is plentiful, with nice restaurant and cafe options on site. Beds were comfortable.
Did not care for the in-room charcoal scented shampoo/conditioner and soap provided by hotel. That was an odd and unappealing choice and I did not like smelling like a campfire all weekend. Front desk check-in was disorganized, with no record of upgrade request or late check out, despite corporate email offer that was sent to me and completed. Staff seemed unaware of this offer type, so I was wondering why corporate even sends such an email in the first place. Once finally getting late check out confirmation, room was locked upon returning from breakfast on our last day, which I just found annoying after all we went through to get it.
Excellent location, fabulous comfortable beds, excellent shower, nice and quiet. Fabulous staff.
Everything was excellent here.
The hotel was perfectly located in the city centre so worked as a great base. It was spotlessly clean and all the staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was superb!
