Taumeasina Island Resort

This resort is family friendly and quite large. We booked a year ago in full and were given an upstairs room when we specifically asked for a downstairs one as my husband has mobility issues, we were finally offered a setback downstairs one. Breakfast was acceptable but evening meals were not. We ate out after some below par evening meals, they purport fine dining, but it certainly is not. Lovely swimming pools and nice coastal walking track with exercise equipment. Taxis available to get you into Apia town 10 mins away. The staff did not seem happy which you normally expect from Samoan people.

Long drive from the airport but well worth it. Had a 1st floor room over looking the beach/ocean. So relaxing sitting on the balcony at sunset.
Breakfast hot/cold buffet was included but omelete and speciality eggs were extra as was flat whites.
Hotel staff really helpful organizing a one day rental car.
Dinner and shows were amazing.
Will definitely be back.

We went to celebrate a family birthday arrived to the lido pool being refurbished and having Jack hammers going from 8 am to 6pm totally unacceptable . We found the hotel and grounds not up to standard . Rubbish in the gardens and the rooms certainly not pristine . Paddle boards broken and not available and floating bikes not working properly

Lovely location , friendly staff , beautiful pool area but very tired looking around pool area , couches and day beds certainly look and feel 10 years old , large day beds falling apart , all chairs in restaurant very uncomfortable with low hard backs

Amazing location,staff were super friendly,facilities were clean and modern overall awesome experience.

The breakfast was fabulous and 'beyond' the usual standard buffet fare. The restaurants / bar food, etc was the best we had during our 7 day stay in Samoa.

Location: you can walk right out onto the beach, snorkel or just lounge around the pool.

Taumeasina was the second resort we stayed at (we stayed further down South at another resort). You can walk everywhere in Apia from this resort, but we had a car, so great jump off point.

I liked that the Supervisor Rag acknowledgement of room was not up to standard and upgraded free of charge.

Taumeasina resort is located near central Apia across a causeway. MY husband and I were disappointed with our room, we had booked over a year ago for downstairs one and it took them two times to find us a room we were satisfied with. lovely swimming pools and nice walking track around resort, but meals were a let down, good breakfast and adequate fried food but fine dining it certainly doesn’t have. this resort is trying to be all things to all people, safe for children with activities but if you are looking for something special as we were, we would not suggest you stay there.

A very efficient and effective service delivery in all areas!!. Various and different types of food to choose from in the MENUS. Whoo and the vaitipolo (lemon drink) that was perfectly made!! Sunday Toonai was lovely !! combination of Samoan food and other various kind professionally cooked.
Room service was perfect!!

Took my visiting granddaughter here today. Been here many times and wanted to give her a treat. Lovely place. Food was good but don’t order the coffee. Worst coffee ever. Absolutely NO taste. It was brown watery milk. We were looking forward to a strong coffee and were sorely disappointed.

Everything!!! We absolutely loved our stay at Taumeasina. Stunning!!!

Great but was disappointed that the seafood was frozen ! Raj the chef on two occasions got fresh seafood from the market . He was 10 out of 11 in looking after us William on the desk also very helpful
