An Excellent Place to Stay in the Marvelous City of Graz
Pros:

I arrived at the hotel after 10 p.m. but the self check-in was unbelievably simple: I just had to enter my name and surname into the machine and it had printed out a ticket with the code for the hotel and for my room (NB: I had paid for the room and checked in online a few days before coming to the hotel). The location of the hotel is superb: a short walk both from the main train station and the beautiful charming old city of Graz. There are lots of supermarkets, cafes, bars and restaurants selling affordable delicious kebabs in the vicinity of the hotel. The room was larger than I had expected and so was the soft yet sturdy bed. The shower was powerful. There were clothes racks for my shirts and a shelf and a desk for my other other things. The lighting and the air conditioning were good as well. On TV, there were two channels in English. There was no hairdryer in the room but I borrowed one from the reception for the duration of my stay (4 nights). In the lobby, there was a machine selling coffee and cold drinks. You can also get paper cups from the dispenser attached to it. The room was cleaned and the towels were changed every day.

Cons:

The metal bar on which you place your towels is underneath the washbasin, which is inconvenient. It would be great if there hooks for the towels above, not below, the washbasin!

Pros:

Staff gave me another room and a free breakfast for the inconvenience.
However, after 10pm there are no staff so if you get locked out of your room after 10pm....good luck.
