Es war ein fantastisches Aufenthalt. Danke für alles!
Pros:

Großes Zimmer (riesig!) mit spektakulären Blick.
Sehr gutes Frühstück. Nettes Personal. Schönes Garten. 2 weißen Enten und eine Katze.
Katzensprung in Taroko Gorge. Kostenloses Parking. Waschmaschine und Trockner.
Alles war bestens.

Cons:

Eigentlich nichts.
Man muss nur in Betracht nehmen, dass das Hotel nicht in Hualien liegt, sonder ca 25 Minuten mit dem Auto von Hualien entfernt ist.
Eine Bushaltestelle (Hualien-Taroko) ist zwar gleich vor dem Hotel, aber ein Auto ist trotzdem empfehlenswert.

Pros:

Lovely staff, so great and always happy to help. An easy walk from the station. Loved the room, the beds were comfortable, shower great and the views spectacular. The breakfast was delicious with lots of variety. I hired an electric bike and rode to the gorge which was beautiful and not too difficult or too far to get to. The town is cute.

It was a very good stay.

Pros:

Ein tolles Hotel mit herrlichem Blick (wir waren im 7. Stock untergebracht)! Die große Straße davor trübt das Erlebnis nicht, einfach in die Ferne ins Grün, auf die Klippen und das Meer schauen.
Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und hat uns einen Fahrer für einen einstündigen Ausflug zum Chongde Beach und den Qingshui Cliffs organisiert. Es hätte auch E-Bikes zum Mieten gegeben, haben wir allerdings nicht genutzt. Zu Fuß sind's etwa 15 min bis zum Wasser, auch einige Läden und Cafés/Restaurants/Imbisse sind fußläufig zu erreichen.
Toll, dass ein Shuttle-Service vom und zum Bahnhof angeboten wird. Auch das Frühstück war sehr gut und vielfältig!
Wir würden beim nächsten Mal nicht nur eine Nacht bleiben, das Hotel ist so gemütlich und der Ort wirklich entschleunigend. Auch wenn im Taroko Nationalpark noch nicht viele Wege wieder geöffnet sind nach dem schweren Erdbeben von 2024, lohnt sich der Ort zum Radeln, Spazieren, Klippen-Bestaunen. Auch Ausflüge nach Hualien sind von dort aus unkompliziert möglich, mit dem Zug ist es ja nur ein Katzensprung.

A quiet gem with a warm, family-run feel
Pros:

It’s a small, very quiet hotel with a warm, almost family-run atmosphere. The staff are extremely considerate and genuinely care about their guests, which made the stay especially enjoyable.

The room was very peaceful, and the breakfast was absolutely excellent, with a different selection each day. Everything felt home-cooked and prepared with real care. The team was also incredibly helpful throughout my stay.

Just be aware that lots of hiking options in Taroko are currently still not available

Pros:

the view from the room we booked was unbelievable! room was huge and clean; staff was so kind and helpful, breakfast was exceptional. we were able to walk to train station, bus stops, restaurant for dinner without any major issues there was always a sidewalk until you get into xincheng old town, but then street is small and it’s less busy with traffic. we ran into many dogs, some stray and some not, but none of them gave us any trouble. some were really cute 🥺

Great breakfast and atmosphere, but cramped room and overpriced food.
Pros:

The breakfast offers a good variety, catering to kids who want European classics and adults who enjoy Asian flavors.
The room was small, but we loved how clean it was and the relaxing atmosphere with a view.
We loved the lobby's atmosphere and the great garden just outside. Best of all, there’s a resident cat that the kids absolutely adored petting.
The hotel provides a quick pickup from Xincheng Station, which we really appreciated.
The staff was friendly and helpful.

Cons:

The room with two double beds was too small for four people with luggage.
After arriving late and finding no other dining options for me and my kids, we ate at the hotel restaurant. It was overpriced and disappointing, which left a bit of a sour taste.
The rooms weren't very soundproof; standing in the hallway or by the elevator, I could clearly hear normal conversations coming from inside our room.
