Quite tricky walking back to Milkwood Cottage from restaurant at night. Grass long & thick and not enough lights.

The place to relax.
Pros:

Every aspect was wonderful: the friendly staff, the welcome drink, the views of the mountains, the very spacious property, the delicious breakfast, the eclectic decor, down to the binoculars for bird watching.

Cons:

No time to swim, play tennis, do a wine tasting or go for walks. We need longer next time.

We had a lovely and pleasant stay at Springfontein Wine estate.
Pros:

Springfontein is a lovely farm not far Stanford. The hosts were very friendly and we received a welcome drink. Such a lovely place where we had dinner and breakfast. The room was big and comfortable. A lovely Whiskey and cigar bar on the premises.

Cons:

We would have love to watch the Springbok rugby on Saturday night, but that was not possible on the farm.

Delightful stay with wonderful accommodation and peaceful natural beauty all around! .
Pros:

The welcome we received from the accommodation team of Natasha & Santie was outstanding. The preparation of the Milkwood cottage where they hosted us, was beautiful! It was warm with underfloor heating turned on. The cold weather had set in and we had a gas heater, fireplace and electric blanket all ready for us. The farm is huge, with lovely walks, river nearby, wonderful birdlife. We stayed 3 nights and enjoyed three delicious breakfasts, where the service was excellent. My husband enjoyed the superb wine and purchased a few bottles to take home. We were sad to say goodbye and promised to visit again.

Cons:

We felt that the evening dinner menu was overpriced. The one meal we had at Ulumbaza was disappointing. Our Cape Salmon was hopelessly overcooked, dry and we struggled to finish it. Spoilt the whole evening for us! It was the most expensive meal we've ever had to pay for!
