Pros:

I have visited this hotel last year in 2024 and again this most recent visit. I speak Spanish but it is not perfect and the receptionist was speaking very fast to us.
Last year I was not required to pay taxes nor a security deposit because I am a tourist. This year the front desk receptionist told me to change the reservation to my husband’s name because of his status to avoid paying taxes. I told her okay but then she required us to pay a security deposit. I did ask her to repeat herself a few times because I could not understand her Spanish being so fast. We paid the deposit and continued about our day. The next day my mom also made a reservation at the same hotel. Here’s the crazy part they did not require her to pay taxes NOR a security deposit.
When my mom asked them why did the previous receptionist require me to pay but not her. They said it was just preference.
Which to me and my husband is us being profiled and discriminated against. When we checked out there were two receptionist there. One of them asked me if we took anything from the fridge I said no. Then the other receptionist who was the one that profiled us asked me again I said no and she insisted that we took two sodas. I told her we had ordered room service and yes two sodas which we paid for in that moment. She then gave me my deposit back and said nothing else. Very disappointed.

The hot water from the shower took long to warm up. Also there was no pump for hair conditioner so I had to get some off the cap on top.

Muy buenas instalaciones en remodelación pero con muy buen final, se encuentra cerca de la Plaza Mayor que es digna de conocer, con excelentes restaurantes en sus alrededores, buena atención y buen Bufet de desayuno

Nice area, extremely clean and beautiful room! Staff was friendly only issue was the exchange rate was different at the front desk than what the booking was locked into. But it wasn’t an issue for us.

Supero todas mis expectativas a pesar de un inconveniente que se me presentó tanto Nicole y Jordan en recepción como Graciela, la gerente ,José María el chofer .. todos muy atentos a mi .. chicos Gracias por tantos cuidados y mismos .. hisieron que valiera la pena mi viaje .. los recomiendo al mil .

Desde que ingrese pésimo el servicio con la señorita que me recibió. La alfombra del cuarto sucia, el baño su piso super resbaloso, su televisor super chiquito para que te cuesta una habitación 86 dólares es un pésimo hotel. Nunca regresaría. Fui al remanso y todas las instalaciones impecables.

THE GOOD:

1. Hands down, the hotel staff were the best part of our stay. Friendly, efficient, and very accommodating. I can't say enough good things about them.

2. Overall, the hotel was in good condition. The common areas, in particular, were clean and inviting.

3. The AC works! The last hotel we stayed at in Chimbote didn't have AC, so we were VERY grateful to have it on this visit.

THE BAD/UGLY:

1. The toilet was on a small platform, so using it was very awkward.

2. The tiles in the shower were very slippery, and there wasn't a rubber mat on the floor to prevent slipping. That's a major hazard and one I hope they address.
