Super hôtel à Kandy
Pros:

Nous avions séjourné dans cet hôtel en 2024 et notre séjour avait été très agréable mais lorsque nous avons décidé cette année de retourner à Kandy et dans cet hôtel nous avons hésité et réservé 1 seule nuit car nous avons lu beaucoup d'évaluations négatives le concernant. Lorsque nous sommes arrivés avant de prendre la chambre nous avons voulu visiter pour vérifier l'état de la chambre, de l'hôtel et de la piscine. Je peux confirmer que l'hôtel est très propre, le personnel est toujours aussi accueillant et disponible, le petit déjeuner est très correct quant à la piscine elle est très propre, accessible facilement car elle est au roof top il y a des transats avec des matelas et des serviettes disponibles. Concernant la taille de la piscine c'est une piscine très agréable pour se détendre après la journée de balade. Pour faire des longueurs la mer est plus adaptée, mais Kandy n'est pas au bord de l'océan 😉. Nous avons la vue sur les montagnes. Quant à la distance du centre ville nous sommes à 5mn du centre et il est facile de trouver un tuk tuk qui vous y amène pour un prix modique. La chambre est spacieuse et très bien équipée sèche cheveux bon éclairage. Pour nous cet hôtel ne mérite pas les mauvais commentaires qui ont été envoyés. Et quand nous reviendrons à Kandy nous sejournerons avec grand plaisir dans cet hôtel pour la 3 ème fois. Nous vous le recommandons +++ excellent rapport qualité prix.

Pros:

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel. From the moment we arrived, the housekeeping and hotel staff were very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Their excellent service made our stay comfortable and enjoyable.

I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Kandy and looking for a pleasant and comfortable place to stay.

Absolutely terrible experience

The room was absolutely filthy, and on top of that, its location was terrible. Our room was outside the main hotel building, right next to the entrance where people and cars were constantly passing by.

We immediately asked to change rooms. We were told that there were no other rooms available and that they could only clean ours. However, shortly afterwards, a group of around 10 people arrived and, somehow, they were given different rooms. So clearly, rooms were available — just apparently not for us.

The night was awful. We could hear people talking outside our room and had to ask them to be quiet so we could sleep. Then, at around 6 a.m., the owner himself woke us up by loudly talking with a friend. Once again, we had to ask them to be quiet.

As I couldn’t get back to sleep, I tried to watch something on my phone, only to discover that the Wi-Fi didn’t even work.

The next day, we complained about the situation. Their explanation was that they had not given us another room because the remaining rooms were supposedly worse than ours. Honestly, after seeing the condition of our room, it is hard to imagine how that was possible.

The level of cleanliness, noise and customer service was completely unacceptable. We felt that our concerns were simply ignored, and the way the situation was handled was extremely disappointing.

Overall, a very disappointing experience. I would absolutely not recommend this hotel. If you are visiting Kandy as a stopover to take the train or simply to rest, I would recommend staying somewhere outside the city instead. Personally, I didn’t find Kandy city itself worth the stay.
